“All movements are motivated by Yi, not external form” When you practice Tai Chi you want to achieve a unity of mind and body. You are just one unit doing the work, or rather, letting the work be done through you. You are present, but simultaneously aware. “Focussed awareness” is another good phrase to use to describe Yi.
Tai Chi is a moving meditation. Tai Chi can reduce anxiety. Tai Chi can increase mobility. Tai Chi eases aches and pains☯️
Tai Chi Classes restart on Tuesday 3 January, at The Pavillion, Pilton Playing Fields. Morning class starts at 9.30a.m. and the evening class starts at 6.00p.m. Also come along to Tai Chi in the park, Thursday morning 5th January at Collett Park Shepton Mallet 10.30 we meet by the shelter.
