Planning refused by DCC for a local resident looking to care for the welfare of his horses and the security of his equipment.

The two photos with the small stables and tin sheet buildings are on site now, but lie within a high flood risk zone. Our proposal was to take these down and replace with 1 larger multi purpose building containing stables and storage, which is shown on the 3D image. This new building would be placed outside of the flood zone.

The remaining 3 street view images are what is in the adjoining plot and across the road to our clients land. Not the best looking things ever seen!

After a 19 week planning process, that should have only been 8 weeks, we got a refusal letter with the main reason for refusal being

"...the development would have an inverse impact upon the intrinsic character and beauty of the rural landscape.."

Well done DCC on common sense and actual site visits.
