Science Explorers
Science themed classes to get your little ones excited about science. Let them learn in a fun, interactive and safe way.
We have completed our first holiday club! We were lucky enough to be invited to join a holiday this last week.
It was great introducing Science Explorers to more young people. We have had colour changes, fizzing, been to space, investigated gravity and learned about animals.

The new home ed STEM class started this week. And what a fun lesson!
It was great to meet lots of young people excited about science
Our young people will be working towards their crest award over the next 8 weeks.
The first week saw our scientists design and build a bridge using only paper and sticky tape.
They quickly realised if you folded or rolled the paper it became stronger.

This Week our Science Explorers Blakehill Primary School were tasked with the job of designing a new bridge.
The challenge was.... they were only allowed to use paper and a small amount of sticky tape.
Our science Explorers quickly realised that if you folded or rolled the paper it became stronger.
Our winning bridge design managed to hold over 300g!!

14th March is International day of Mathematics. Maths is an important aspect of science and it stands for the letter M in STEM. And we love Maths here at Science Explorers.
This yearβs theme is playing with Maths. Some of my favourite games I enjoy playing involve maths.
I am loving Qwirkle at the moment. I love to play a spotty sausage dog with my son and a firm favourite is also monopoly.
Get involved and play a maths game. Maybe find a new one to play.
There are some great games and puzzles to do on the International Day of Maths website; https://www.idm314.org
