Lovely mention from TSA today - "GCSE Art and Design students explored the ‘Threads of
Tradition’ exhibition at Skipton Town Hall, followed by the ‘Members’ Christmas Exhibition’ at Craven Arts House. Both spaces work incredibly hard to make the Arts more accessible to young people, and we would
like many more students at The Skipton Academy to use their facilities.
This trip was centred on becoming more familiar with exciting, and regularly changing, exhibitions at the heart of Skipton. Our students benefited from the trip in terms of aspirations through a careers talk at the Town
Hall, as well as a tour of art studios at Craven Arts House – led by artists and a Trustee.
Students (of any age) are urged to talk to Ms Harrison and Ms Hird-Rogers in order to learn more about the Skipton ‘Art scene’, or for support with independent art projects (as well as those that form part of their formal
education)."
We are looking forward to more events in 2024 and don't forget the young people in music grant! Applications are open now. https://www.cravenarts.co.uk/about-3-1
