Since Simon joined us, we have been completing more surgical treatments. Consequently Simon held a training session for us all so everyone in the team understood surgical treatments and what is important to allow for the success of the surgery.
For the squeamish amongst you may want to not read any further… but for those of you that are still interested, we practice using pigs heads as this helps to create a more realistic situation

Our lovely Danielle delivered a beautiful baby girl who they named Esther, on 27th August
She is just gorgeous and we can’t wait for cuddles 🥰 🍼☘️

This smile was transformed with Invisalign to slightly alter the positioning and a zirconia crown to correct the discoloured front tooth.

This patient also had a course of whitening to enhance their new smile. This really is a smile to be proud of 🦷☘️

When you have brushed your teeth it is better to just spit the excess toothpaste out without rinsing the toothpaste away. Toothpaste contains fluoride which helps prevent tooth decay so leaving any excess can help protect teeth further.

Whilst mouthwash has fluoride in it, it doesn’t have it in the same amount as toothpaste so can be counterproductive as will still wash away the fluoride in the toothpaste.

Rinsing with mouthwash is fine, but best done at a different time to brushing

Working Feedback

This patients front teeth were very worn and chipping, so a combination of zirconia crowns, bonded composite and partial dentures have rebuilt her smile 😃🦷🍀

Last week marked one year since Rebecca took over the practice from Penny. What an achievement!
It is a dream come true for Rebecca who has been with Clover since 2005 when she first came to do work experience and then has basically never left… apart from when she went to Uni to gain her qualification of course!

As most of you already know from your recent appointments, the practice will be carrying on as it has done previously and we will be continuing to work with the Clover ethos at the forefront of everything we do 🍀🦷

We are both happy and sad to announce the retirement of Dr Penny Hedley-Smith. She has spent the last 40 years working tirelessly and whole heartedly in dentistry and has spent the last 20 years working towards building Clover Dental Care into what it is today.

Rebecca has taken the reigns from Penny and will be continuing to build on Clover’s success.

We hope you have enjoyed the celebrations as much as we have Penny, we will all miss you tremendously!!

This patient lost a tooth after a long standing infection so we have replaced the lost tooth with a zirconia bridge. A permanent fixed solution that has allowed the patient to smile confidently again 🦷😃

On 25th March, our practice manager Abbie welcomed a little boy into her family. He’s called Reid and we can’t wait to meet him for cuddles! 💙🍼
