Our Story

Gary and I opened The Forest with the vision of owning a neighbourhood restaurant serving great food with friendly efficient service. We were thrilled to be awarded 2AA rosettes in 2001 our first year and have kept them yearly since. We are proud to be listed in Michelin and The Good Food Guide too. We use respected suppliers and do not skimp on cost over quality, sourcing locally where possible, to offer our seasonally influenced menu. With 2 private dining rooms, catering for private parties and weddings, including 12 boutique bedrooms, The Forest offers a personal service for any celebration or conference meeting that you might have.
We have built up an enviable reputation as many of the thank you letters, detailed on our web site, show testament to.
