Our beautiful new friends are situated in the lounge on our reminiscence floor and have been named by our residents! 🫶🏻

🎄🎄🎄It feels criminal to already be talking about Christmas but we are wanting our Christmas Faire to be bigger and better than ever! The last two years we have had a great turn out and were eager to get organized! We have 3 stalls already booked but we have room for 8 more!

We had a fabulous afternoon during our annual BBQ yesterday 🍗🍔🌭 Filled with good food, good people and lots of sunshine ☀️ 🍹

We would like you to say a huge thank you to our fabulous kitchen team who put on an amazing spread and worked hard to pull off a fantastic day! Everyone said how wonderful the food was and we are so proud of our team!

We were joined by Paulo Pinto who entertained us with some fabulous music and it was wonderful to see so many of our family members join us!

It’s been a wonderful day! A morning social in our bistro, enjoying games, reminiscence and dancing! This afternoon, we enjoyed a baking session, making delicious cupcakes 🧁 we have also enjoyed a game of countdown and bingo! 💛

Enjoying a morning catch up during our “Tools Down” yesterday. We enjoyed some delicious cake and homemade milkshakes! Listening to hits from the 50s! 🎵

A wonderful wish completed for our lovely lady yesterday! When asked what she would like to do most in the world, Margaret told us she would love to visit David Austin Roses. She was joined by her friends at Claridge Place and they had a wonderful day! 🌹

We would like to say a huge thank you to Peter, our mini bus driver, he’s always so amazing with our residents! 🫶🏻

Some lovely one to ones this week, enjoying meaningful activities with our residents. A lovely member of our team even came in on her day off to spend some quality time with one of our ladies 🌸 The competition was heating up during our weekly darts club yesterday afternoon… 🔥🎯

Tools down! At 11am yesterday, members of our team joined us in the Bistro for some quality time with our wonderful residents! Our lovely lady enjoyed a baking session with her Daughter 💛 We love to see our relatives getting involved in activities! 👩🏼‍🍳🧁

We had a wonderful visit from Bambams Nursery Birmingham yesterday afternoon! A lot of fun and smiles! They certainly brought some sunshine in to Claridge Place 💛

Fun in the sun! We enjoyed some fresh fruit kebabs and a few glasses of wine over the weekend! We also made the most of the glorious sunshine and took our arts and crafts session out in to the courtyard 🍷🍉🍓🍒

We’ve had a busy week! We got a little messy with papier mache, we enjoyed a seaside reminiscence session 🐚🪸 and we enjoyed baking some gingerbread biscuits 🫚🧑🏼‍🍳. We have also enjoyed our weekly darts club and some sensory painting! We celebrated our lovely gentleman’s birthday and we still have a weekend packed full of fun planned! 🎯🎨🖌️🎂🥳🎉

Our hairdresser Loretta has been working her magic in the salon ✂️ we have enjoyed an art class 🖼️🎨🖌️ we enjoyed a reminisence session, focusing on our childhood and the games we would play! We also enjoyed a sensory game “guess the smell.” We took some ingredients from the kitchen and held a competition around the home! 🫚🌶️🧀

Our new darts club has been a huge success 🎯 it’s great to see everyone getting involved! We have also enjoyed our weekly Boules club too!

Preparing for our Claridge Olympics next week, we have made a start on some of our decorations! 🎨🖌️ Our wellbeing Mandy has been doing the rounds with the ice creams in this glorious sunshine 🍦☀️

What an open day! ✨ We opened our home to the community yesterday, we welcomed visitors to explore what we have to offer at Claridge Place!

We had a fantastic turn out and we would like thank everyone that came along ✨

We were joined by Elvis, better known as Lee! 🎙️ He even stayed a little longer to have his photo taken! This was a wish for one of our special ladies which made it that little more special! ✨

We have enjoyed our Darts club this week 🎯 This was a new edition requested on our weekly planner last week and it’s been a winner, so far! We enjoyed getting creative with tie dye, we all have some jazzy socks to wear for the summer! We’ve made the most of the sunshine the last two days ☀️ we enjoyed an outdoor craft session and a quiz! We also enjoyed a musical morning yesterday! 🎶

Enjoying a sensory art session yesterday, creating beautiful flowers using balloons! We think they look amazing! 🌼🌸 We enjoyed a baking session yesterday, a delicious bread and butter pudding on the menu! Enjoyed in the afternoon with a lovely cuppa ☕️

Over the weekend we enjoyed a viewing of Paint your Wagon which was voted for by our residents! 🎬🍿 We enjoyed a reminiscence session, celebrating the life of Dame Vera Lynn! Yesterday we enjoyed a concert with Cliff Richard and a sensory art session, focusing on colourful flowers in our courtyard! 🌸🌺🌼

We also celebrated one of our very lovely ladies birthdays over the weekend 🎂🎉

We enjoyed a game of Animal, Vegetable, Mineral yesterday morning, joined by our lovely Paul who is the Director of Dementia Care🪻We enjoyed a Micheal Buble concert, requested by one of our lovely ladies 🎤🎵

We got creative with some Tie Dye and we launched our Boules club this week!

We have enjoyed a sensory chocolate tasting session, an art class and it was eyes down for our weekly bingo session on Tuesday! 🍫🎨🖌️

So wonderful to see our team spending quality time with our residents, having fun and building friendships 🌻🌷🪻

We enjoyed a Spanish lesson yesterday, lead my our Care Team member Juliana and Wellbeing member Terri! Juliana is fluent is Spanish and taught us a thing or two! 🇪🇸🍷

We enjoyed some funfair games in the afternoon 🤹🏼🎯🎳

We have enjoyed a sensory painting session, using leaves from our courtyard to create some beautiful art 🍂🍃 Yesterday morning we enjoyed a concert with Tom Jones, a Claridge Place favourite! 🎤🕺🏽

We enjoyed an art class yesterday, followed by a concert with Slim Whitman and a reminiscence session. Seaside holidays was our focus for this session and we enjoyed a trip down memory lane! 🌊🐚🍦🏖️

We enjoyed making some delicious fruit kebabs this morning, which have helped us keep hydrated in the hot weather 🍉🍓🍫 This afternoon, we enjoyed a concert with Ray Charles and we enjoyed a craft session, making some beautiful butterflies 🦋

We have been making the most of this glorious sunshine ☀️ keeping cool with ice lollies and ice creams 🍦 We have enjoyed arts and crafts, a quiz, a garden social and we enjoyed a concert with Andre Rieu 🌻
