“I have tried everything out there possible, will this work for me?”
A programme like THRIVE does not exist.
THRIVE is your one-stop-recovery-shop and is the only course on the market that covers Embodiment & Body Image work, Intuitive Eating, Nutrition Science, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or a.k.a. Tapping), Neuro-Linguistic Programing (NLP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness practices, such as yoga, meditations and pilates.
We are ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENT this course provides everything you need to complete your recovery journey and if you complete this programme, you will see incredible results in your life.
“Ok, but I’m focusing on trying to recover on my own… should I wait and join next time you run this course?”
That depends — are you recovering on your own out of choice; OR you haven’t been able to find the programme, structure and support to recover once and for all? If it’s the former, now isn’t the right time to join. However, if it’s the latter, THRIVE is exactly where you should be and we welcome you with open arms!
Enrolments close tonight at 11.59 pm GMT

Often when we want to change something within our lives, within ourselves, about ourselves we’re given to wait for some sort of temporal milestone – that is, we wait for Mondays, for foreign holidays, for big birthdays, for Weddings…for New Years.
We look for endings within beginnings; for fresh starts amidst stale endings and reinvention after periods of perceived self-ruination.
New Years have become almost synonymous with the notion of there having to be a new you.
Yet, these resolutions are more like reso-illusions.
The most popular resolutions primarily concerned physical appearance/ health – with 33% looking for improved health, 20% chasing weight-loss and 13% hoping to alter their eating habits.
However, approximately 73% of these women self-reported that they had consistently failed to achieve their weight loss goal – let alone maintain the marginal and momentary losses achieved.
So what is the alternative?
Three Alternate Anti-Diet New Year Actions:
🧡Wear clothes that fit your body
🧡Out with calorie tracking and in with Intuitive eating
🧡Digital Detox

You might be wondering how a form of exercise could help with eating disorder recovery – however, yoga is about SO MUCH MORE than moving from pose to pose, or sitting cross legged on the floor.
By slowing down and turning the awareness inwards, yoga encourages a harmony between the mind and body that is lost through the eating disorder.
👉WHAT DOES THE RESEARCH SAY?
Well..... there's a lot of science supporting the benefits of yoga in eating disorder recovery. To describe a few:
🧘🏾♀️ One study of a group of women with Bulimia Nervosa or EDNOS found a significant decrease in eating disorder psychopathology after six months of twice-weekly yoga classes. The most significant impact was seen in a reduction in eating concern, weight concern and restriction.
🧘🏾♀️ Similarly, a study of women between the ages of 18-30 found a reduction in body-image dissatisfaction and spent less time focused on their appearance when they practiced yoga twice a week for twelve weeks.
🧘🏾♀️ Another small study of adolescents with an eating disorder being treated as outpatients found a significant decrease in anxiety, depression, and body image disturbance after completing a weekly yoga class for twelve weeks.
It should also be noted explicitly that while we obviously believe in the power of yoga in supporting eating disorder recovery, it should be practiced in combination with other treatment modalities and should NOT replace traditional evidence-based treatments.
Make sure you discuss with your team before you introduce any exercise.

Too often, recovery focuses merely on physical wellbeing which, don't get us wrong, is soooo important!
However, a lot of the time we neglect emotional resilience to prepare you for life AFTER recovery.
Cue Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
EFT is a self-help strategy our co-founder Ariana is trained and qualified in.
🧐 WHAT IS EFT?
EFT combines psychotherapy and acupressure to help release any stored trauma or stored emotions that may cause distress day-to-day. As well as breakthrough limiting beliefs that are keeping from moving your forward. We store emotions and lived experiences in our body.
⁉️HOW DOES IT WORK?
EFT is a gentle tapping strategy, where you tap on different face and body points to help stimulate energy centres called meridians.
🤓IS IT EVIDENCED-BASED?
You betchaaaaa!
There is A LOT of research to show that EFT can help support and alleviate pain management, PTSD, trauma, anxiety, stress and depression (among others). Science has shown that tapping used in EFT can calm specific brain centres, including the amygdala - our emotional centre, and the hippocampus - which is responsible for our memory. We also know that cortisol levels decrease significantly as a result of tapping.
🦋HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO EATING DISORDER RECOVERY?
The function of an eating disorder serves to control and to help us cope with our emotions in the best way we know how. EFT is a really constructive coping strategy that invites you to start processing what has happened to you in the past and help you to make peace with your lived experiences. This allows you to break free from rigid rules and live a life of freedom.
👉HOW CAN I START EFT?
You have two options:
1. Ariana is a qualified EFT Practitioner. You can start 1:1 sessions by booking a free discovery call with her - follow the link in our bio.
2. EFT is included in our newly revamped programme, THRIVE. You can sign up for the waitlist for the January cohort by following the link in our bio.

If we had a dollar for every time a client said they don't trust themselves around food 🥺
We first met Janine when she joined our group programme and ALL she was always thinking about was food.
She was constantly judging herself. It was exhausting.
Janine put A LOT of pressure on herself trying to be 'perfect' and find the 'perfect balance.'
Ice cream in the house? Forget it! The tub wouldn't last a day.
Can you relate to this??
When we asked Janine to reflect on her progress after 12-weeks, she said "I have learned how to be kind to myself, accept life for what it is and not relate all my problems with food".
"I have gained so much more confidence and flexibility."
"I even keep ice cream in the freezer and I honestly forget about it. That is something I used to dream of!"
Can you believe that? We can!
And it is possible for you too.

When Elizabeth signed up to our programme, she was READY to gain freedom around food and challenge her fear foods.
In all honesty, she was fed up. *sigh*
Does this sound like you?
I mean, you only need to scroll so far on any self-proclaimed-fitness-or-purported-wellness-social-media-account to be bombarded with the paradigm of “calories in, calories out”.
Not to mention, they are always preoccupied with the flawed notion that thinness is the only marker of health.
Or, according to diet culture, calories are the only value of food. Never mind that food provides energy that we need to function, survive and thrive!
This notion fundamentally oversimplifies the determinants of energy balance, removes any sense of bodily intuition or knowledge – and, in so doing, turns us into robots.
It assumes that we are like Schwarzenegger in Terminator when he rips back the skin of his forearm to display a glistening metal cyborg skeleton (*eye roll*).
Interestingly, a relatively recent data analysis highlighted how restriction and dieting and a LOWER intuitive eating score are directly correlated to a predicted increase in eating disorder severity and/ or the manifestation of disordered eating behaviours.
If you're like Elisabeth and you are ready to wave buh-bye to restriction, we would love to be able to help you improve your relationship with food and your body, and say good-bye to calorie counting and heeeello to an abundant life!

"I'm constantly thinking about food and I don't feel confident in my body"
Ugh. This one is tough. Can you relate?
Having struggled with disordered eating for 16 years, Sarah knew it was time to do something about it.
During our intake call, Sarah described her relationship with food and her body as a BATTLE, with lots of intense body image insecurities, ranging from random spurts of gym classes, calorie tracking, and a spiralling mind.
Sarah was fed up and ready to (finally!) make a change that benefited her emotional, psychological and physical health.
If you can relate to Sarah, here are some reminders to help on your healing journey:
1) You are likely hungry and not eating enough! Thinking about food is one of the most underrated signs of physical hunger
2) Confidence is not something you were born with - it is a skill you can learn! Consider what language you are using when you speak to yourself.
3) Body image lives in the brain and has nothing to do with your body. Remember, your body is a wonderful vehicle to enjoy life, not an accessory!
If you need more support, our Disordered Eating Recovery Workbook guides you through 28 practical pages to heal your relationship with food & body.

Raised your hand if you have been personally victimised by diet culture🥺🥵
Diets can be carefully disguised as a ‘lifestyle change’ or ‘wellness program’ when in reality, diets are designed for a purpose – to be temporary, to most likely fail, and to leave us back in square one.
‘In a society that profits from your self-doubt, liking yourself is a rebellious act.’
– Caroline Caldwell.
Take care, be a rebel, and keep up all of the admirable healing you are achieving on this empowering, enlightening journey to food freedom!
