Evening all! We just wanted to give everyone an update about double 2 shirts and the upcoming race, CTC. We believe we have fixed the over heating issues which had given us a lot of trouble in the previous race which ended in our retirement. We have restricted the exhausts hopefully backing up the water into the manifolds and exhausts, we hope this fixes our issues. We have also made a calculation from our last test runs that we wouldn’t make the whole race with the fuel we can carry so have added 2 more fuel tanks in front of the cockpit. We hope to be out mid next week doing some short runs before the race at the weekend. We are looking forward to seeing you all for hopefully a good weekend of racing! 🏁🏁 🚤

Hi all,
we just wanted to round up from last weekends testing in double two shirts. Saturday was the first time the boat had been on the water since we have had her working and we just wanted to test everything we had done, this all went well. We cruised up the Solent at around 55 mph changing up and down the Rev range due to the freshly rebuilt 600sci engines. As everything was working as it should we took the opportunity to put some hours on her and run the engines in some more. We encountered some trim and engine management sensor issues stopping us from getting more than 65mph at 4000rpm we hope for a little more speed with that amount of revs with trim set up correctly. 45 miles around the island we blew a exhaust manifold dump hose putting us down to one engine. We patched her up and where back on 2 engines to get her home, We’re still not sure what caused this and need to do some further investigating. Apart from that everything else was perfect and was a brilliant day for us all as a team to get the boat on the water after a lot of hard work.
