Evening everyone! From today I’ll be changing the brand of LDM Wood Designs to LDM Designs to move away from the wood side of things. Moving forward I’ll be focussing the brand on jewellery as I no longer have the means to continue further with the previous work. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted on this page, but now that I’ve settled after a lot of changes, I’m excited to get going on something new. With that in mind, here is a little sneak peak into what I’m working on now…

Okay, so I’ve given myself a break from the coasters, and instead tried some new kit (bandsaw) to give this board a different look, i.e a handle. So pleased I got the handle central 😂

This charcuterie board is made of 4 different hardwoods: Red Oak, Canadian Cherry, Iroko and Idigbo.

These boards can also be customised 🍷 🧀

I love it when a plan comes together when glueing the wood up, and then this happens 👌🏻

The resin is Ruby Red or Silver Grey in colour, with chamfer edges and finished with a hard wax oil. Clear rubber feet are added for a non slip feel.

This gorgeous handmade cutting board is made out of Canadian Maple and Idigbo wood. Both exotic hardwoods.

It has a chamfered edge all the way around the underneath, finished with a board butter, and clear rubber feet to hold it whilst using.

Just a little compilation of some coasters I’ve been working on recently. Glad the sun was finally shining today to get some decent pictures to showcase the colours of wood.

Another gorgeous set of coasters done! These ones are made from Indigbo (West African hardwood), Sapele and Canadian Maple wood. Sealed with a clear hard wax oil.
