The Real Macaron Company and Janice B's are delighted to announce the launch of our Afternoon Tea baking class.

Janice B's first afternoon tea class is scheduled to take place on Saturday 14th September, from 10.30am to 4.00pm and will be held at Janice B's, The Cake and Sugarcraft Centre, Hedge End, SO30 0BJ.

Our special launch price is £95.00 per participant, including all ingredients.

In this exciting and super productive class, you will learn how to make delicious, chewy chocolate mint brownie bites, melt in your mouth buttermilk scones, creamy mini blueberry cheesecakes and perfect Earl Grey and lemon macarons. The 5-hour class will cover a range of baking skills, boosting your confidence and inspiring you to increase your baking repertoire.

Places will be limited to six per class to ensure everyone receives plenty of one-on-one advice and encouragement.
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss your baking vagaries with Christine and Gaye, and time to enjoy a refreshing cup of tea and sample the spoils of your labours. Of course, everything you bake - and don't eat ! - is yours to take home and enjoy with family and friends.

Our macaron class, for children aged 8- 14 years, is an ideal fun and creative activity for the summer break, with the added bonus that they'll come home with delicious sweet treats to share!

ANNOUNCING A CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY CAKE CLUB IN HEDGE END.

Here at Janice B’s, we are excited to launch our first Children's Holiday Cake Club.

The club, which will have a circus theme, will be held at Janice B's, Freegrounds Avenue, Hedge End, SO30 0BJ on Monday 5th, Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th from 10.30am to 1.00pm on each day.

The club is suitable for 9–14-year-olds. Sibling discounts are available on application.
The price of £75 is for the three sessions of 2.5 hours each.

During the three days of the club, the children will have lots of fun while learning how to level a sponge cake , generously fill it with jam and buttercream, crumb coat and prepare the sponge for covering with sugar paste and make sugar paste circus decorations and cute circus animal models in marzipan.

Under the expert guidance of Julie Hancock who has over 30 years of experience in the industry, working with children and young people, your budding cake decorators will learn how to use different edible media, decorating tools and cutters, transforming a delicious sponge cake into an incredible circus scene. At the end of the third day the children will take home their beautiful and bespoke cakes to share with family and friends.

Everything the children need to create their very own celebration cake will be provided, including the cake, all materials and equipment, and a cake board and box.

Purple was the colour of the day at Tom and Amy’s wedding! 💜💜💜

For their sweet treat centre piece they chose a selection of tangy lemon and creamy raspberry white chocolate macarons topped with not just one , but two, gorgeous sponge cakes - one lemon and the other biscoff, both coated and decorated with white chocolate buttercream.

No mean feat to assemble- but it was worth it!!
