Today is the day, it's open day at !
It's always a busy time of year, but the teams involved in setting up open day have smashed it and campus is looking FANTASTIC!
This year we have sourced some eco alternatives for materials used on open day, like this eco banner 😍
What's eco about it I hear you say? Well, it's PVC-free vinyl, made from plastics and polymers that ARE recyclable, in contrast to PVC, which isn’t recyclable to any extent. We do the research so you don't have to ♻️

A huge congratulations to everyone at The Student Awards ceremony yesterday 😍 🏆
Our design studio were tasked with the initial concept design, to create something high end and prestigious for the Student Awards. As we are celebrating the achievements of our remarkable students, fireworks felt representative of this. The dark colour scheme feels high end, and the fireworks combined with contrasting blues bring life and colour to the design, and fit nicely within the UoS brand and accessibility guidance.
Along with the concept design, we got to create, print and source a range of materials, including the lovely backdrop panel you see on the stage, at a huge 6000mm wide by 2300mm tall, and can be assembled in less than 15 mins!
We love this sort of project, drop us a line if you have something similar in mind!

Digital foiling is the perfect finishing touch for your designs. These golden tickets were handmade here at The Design and Print Centre, foiling the borders and smaller details to get that luxury finish. 🤤
Get in touch for a bespoke order, with foil available in silver, gold, red and blue. If those colours don't suit your project, we are able to get hold of many different colours including glitter foil!

A huge congratulations to the wonderful Lynn, our Digital Print Service Operator, who was presented with her Long Service Award at our department meeting this week! 🎉
You may have met Lynn on campus, she has now been at the University of Southampton for4️⃣0️⃣years, working in Digital Print Services to provide photocopying, academic printing and binding. So this was an extra special order for us, printing the Long Service Award cards, knowing our very own Lynn was going to be the recipient! 🤩

We wanted to take a moment to share some of the things we are doing to help reduce our impact on the planet...
✅ We can recycle your existing aluminum door slats by removing the existing cut vinyl, reconditioning the slat and applying new vinyl cut lettering.
✅ In partnership with Woodland Trust and their Carbon Capture Initiative, we have created almost 1 square kilometre of native woodland in the UK since 2019.
✅ We have helped raise over £1.37m to date, planting more than 354,000 trees and capturing over 82,000 tonnes of CO2.
✅ We've introduced a sustainable alternative to plastic foamex board which is made from FSC certified pulp, is 100% fibre based and fully recyclable.
We look for and test new materials from our suppliers so that we can offer new products and sustainable alternatives to our customers. We responsibly dispose of our waste and plan to measure our consumption so that we can find ways to reduce it. We offer a wide range of great value printing services and our in house design team can produce creative solutions that get your message across - whether it's in print or digital.

Our production unit is located near the city centre of Southampton on Empress Road, but we also have our Digital Print Services copy rooms located in Building 37 at Highfield Campus.
