Almost completed our works on a large project in Danbury, a little bit of cleaning before our clients make full use of this garden kitchen.
We have installed a 2200l underground vessel to supply the gas for an 18kw fire pit and Wolf grill. Also fitted a Quooker instant boiling hot water tap, table top phone charger and champagne trough amongst many other items.

The kitchen has a commercial grade extract unit to deal with the bbq smoke and a gas interlock safety system to assure safe use of the grill.

We are currently looking for two multi-skilled, commercially/industrially experienced tradesmen to work with us on our large portfolio of work at the Port of Tilbury, where we undertake everything from minor emergency repairs, to multi-million pound projects.

We are looking for candidates to work on an hourly basis as per rates and times below, but all candidates are required to attend an interview before being selected due to the amount of administration required to induct operatives to facilitate them to work at the port.

We would be looking at taking on the right candidates on a self-employed/sub-contractor basis, temporary to permanent, with the possibility of a salaried role in the future.

We provide a service that focuses upon value, collaboration, and integrity, with a commitment to very high standards of health and safety and environmental protection. We continue to develop and strive to exceed our client’s requirements and expectations on all aspects of our projects, taking pride in our reputation.

Due to the continued expansion of CHC Construction, we are currently looking for two multi-skilled tradesmen that are familiar with commercial and/or industrial locations. Applicants without commercial/industrial backgrounds, but with experience of multi-skilled works and the right positive approach will be given on site training and will be accompanied by an experienced member of our existing team to help develop their skills and knowledge of the working areas and tasks.

Works include the repair & maintenance of warehouses and commercial buildings, both internally and externally, from high level gutter clearance and cladding repairs to internal carpentry and decoration.

The ability to work cleanly and accurately is essential, along with good communication skills and a positive attitude. Must be polite and personable to liaise with clients, site staff and the office.

Successful candidates will have a flexible approach to working hours with the focus and drive to ensure projects are met on time and on budget, even if this means working longer hours when necessary.

The ability to work comfortably at height and also to work in strict accordance with health and safety protocols is essential.

Current IPAF certification is preferred, but we will consider applicants that are willing to complete the 1-day training course prior to commencing employment. PASMA, First Aid, Safety Harness, and Working-at-height training certificates all beneficial, with any further licences or training considered an advantage. CSCS not essential at this point in time.

A competitive wage will be offered for this permanent role, including bonus opportunities. You will need to provide your own transport, basic hand and power tools, and basic PPE, with specialist PPE and equipment being provided to you as required.

Min 42.5 Hrs. per week

Salary: £18.00-£22.00 depending on qualifications, experience, and certifications.

A little bit of something different this morning. Irrigation hose laid to the green roofs at our Danbury project. The water is supplied from an underground rain water harvesting tank which is re filled from the buildings gutters.

Our year one plumbing and heating apprentice making good steady progress. Eager to learn and a keen eye for detail.

We recently completed this project in Danbury, Chelmsford. CHC Construction undertook all of the structural changes whilst we at CHC Energy installed two new bath suites, re located and fitted a new Glowworm energy boiler in the to loft, installed a new heating system including radiators and underfloor heating to the new kitchen/dining area. We fitted a Nest ‘smart’ thermostat to help the customer reduce their energy consumption and save £££’s
