Charlee's garden maintenance
Caring for your garden.
The last post made me want to look back at this Acer when I placed it in the ground, just look at how much it's grown and it's not even been a year yet π
Forgot to post Thursday. Had to sweep the decking which is harder than it sounds due to changes in direction of the boards π. Tidy up around the acer tree i put in last year which is doing well and dew**ding all the plant pots
A few pictures of my own front garden π. Have really enjoyed creating this and not yet completed but still looking beautiful β€οΈ (middle will be beach pebbles eventually). Since i have had to reduce my work load due to health problems, i have had more time for my own garden (not that that's helping my health but i just love doing it and can do it in my own time and on better days)
Last two visits have been tidying up the garden for winter and planting lots of bulbs ready spring.
Went to do a general tidy up before the winter. I am so pleased to see all the shrubs I planted have settled in well and are already growing new leaves and buds. Even Sir Jimmy Hendrix has new growth, even on the parts that had died off, due to out growing his pot (second picture) π. I've loved creating this new flower bed in this clients front garden. The progress has been brilliant and very fulfilling and i can't wait to pay a visit in the spring when all the bulbs i planted are up, filling this bed with beautiful colour. I will be posting the start to finish in a bit. Watch this space π«Άπ
Tidy up yesterday
Some more work on this front bed, putting in more shrubs and bulbs ready for spring. Finished off with a fresh layer of topsoil. Also put in a gooseberry bush and raspberry bush that weren't doing so well in pots and moved a current shrub that died last year due to lack of space, but is obviously determined to grow back π, should do so much better now π. It's also lovely to see the rose bushes I planted in the back garden a few weeks ago doing so well, with beautiful blooms on them now π.
Back to this garden to do more work on the front bed. It's looking amazing. More plants put in, bulbs planted ready for spring (yes a while off yet π€£) and fresh topsoil making this bed look lovely. Can't wait to see all the bulbs come up in spring. This bed is going to be bursting with colour π₯°.
Today I cleared some unwanted ivy and finally got Sir Jimmy Hendrix in the ground πͺ. We were first going to put him in the back garden, but after struggling with the hard ground, the client decided to get a smaller H**e to put there instead. So i said about putting him in the front garden on the corner so he could fill this section up. The ground was just as hard at the front, so after a well needed soak with the hose the ground became easier to dig, and i finally got him settled in his forever spot π
So after speaking to the pharmacist to check that I've been wearing my arm support correctly, he told me i have golfers arm as well as tennis elbow π
Job done yesterday. Client wanted a h**e put in the ground, old shrubs removed from the front garden and four rose bushes planted. Also made a start on what the clients call no mans land, which consisted of removing all w**ds and grass, then digging and leveling the ground.
Yesterdays job. Just a general tidy up (also did the front but forgot to take pictures) had some company in the garden by a very beautiful lady called Jess π (please see pictures of this beautiful lady β€οΈ)
Yesterday's job. The client was getting fed up with the w**ds growing in the grass. So i advised something i have used in the past for this very reason. I don't normally use chemicals, but this seemed to be the only way of getting rid of these w**ds at an affordable price. I also laid some w**d membrane to the border and section by the shed to stop any further w**ds from taking over these areas again.
Yesterday's job, planting three rose bushes (which was harder than it looks as the ground was rock hard) client wanted the large h**e in the ground but unfortunately the ground was just too hard, even after soaking it, the water just sat on top. Forming a mini pond π I advised the client to buy some fish π. So I left it to soak down and tidied up the front garden while I waited. After about an hour or so it finally went down. Will attempt this next time after the ground has had a good few days soaking.
Just a little tidy up on this garden today ππ
Job today in leigh on a small garden that had got out of control. Client had put down a w**d membrane but had used multiple pieces, leaving gaps between them, allowing the w**ds to grow through. I recommended buying a massive sheet to cover the entire area. This will stop anymore w**ds coming through.
Back to my favorite garden today π. A few shrubs needed removing and some beautiful flowers put in their place. Looks beautiful with the extra colour π
More work done on this garden that belongs to a client who sadly suffered a stroke, leaving him unable to take care of his garden π’. As you can see, w**ds and brambles had taken over the beds. Now the client has clear beds to plant some new plants π. Back next time to trim the overgrown bushes.
Good morning all. Just to let you all know, if anyone is trying to contact me by phone, I have been cut off and may not be able to receive your call. I ask that anyone trying to contact me for availability please do so through my email, facebook messenger or WhatsApp as I will receive these through my home Internet. Thank you π
Today's client needed my help to clear his little patch in a communal garden. Sadly he suffered a stroke leaving him unable to tend to his much loved garden. The beds had been taken over by grass, w**ds and brambles. But I soon cleared things up and it's looking much better now. Returning again next week to finish off the last bed and trim the overgrown bushes/shrubs. This is why I do my job, to help the elderly or less able. It's heartbreaking when you can no longer take care of your garden.
Clean up on this bed. Looking much better π
Back to finish off this garden today.
To all my customers booked in next week. I may have to cancel and rebook. It appears my youngest has come down with tonsillitis again and is currently running a high temp π. If this is the case, he will need to go to the hospital twice a day for them to give him antibiotics as he won't take this at home due to his ASD, therefore he won't be able to attend holiday club, making it impossible for me to work. I will confirm tomorrow after I've taken him to the out of hours doctors. Thank you for your understanding and sorry in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Cleared up the beds of the residential garden today. This is definitely my favourite garden that I've been working on and it's so lovely to see mine and the residents hard work in full bloom π, this garden is absolutely beautiful π.
Today's job in leigh tidying up this garden that had become quite overgrown and in need of taming. Another amazing transformation π. Thank you for your custom.
Today's job tidying up this garden in westcliff. Looking great now. Another happy customer. Thank you for your custom.
Tidy up on this garden yesterday in leigh..
Love the results on this garden, just look for yourself. This was a huge job and i got very wet and muddy due to the persistent rain, but i wasn't going to let the weather stop me from transforming this garden πͺπ½. Back next week to finish off ππ. Yet another happy customer π. Thank you for your custom.
A bit different to my normal work. Today I cleared out a shed for a customer in Westcliff. I had another helping hand from my friend on this job π thank you Ed π. If anyone is looking for a shed clearance, please let me know. Thank you.
