Having had a new composite front door fitted, the existing carpet was short of the new doorframe. This morning we installed a matt-well with natural coir matting, trimmed with mitred aluminium square edged bars, to the customers desired size specifications. Afterwards we refitted the existing hallway carpet and joined a piece in to leave the entrance neat and tidy. New flooring installed for to this bathroom renovation yesterday, starting things off with a quick drying skim coat of self levelling, followed up with a beautiful tile effect sheet vinyl from Being overseen by people doesn’t really bother me, but this house cat was actually quite funny.

New carpet!!! We’ve been attempting for what seems like months now to finish off this recent renovation/update. However other trades have consistently let us down with work completion. Following on from the beautiful sheet vinyl herringbone flooring we fitted to the hallway, this super soft wool, natural loop pile carpet was selected and installed on a felt and crumb rubber combination underlay for maximum durability with new gripper and black finished door bars. Unlike many textured carpets in this style, the backing was extremely pliable and enabled us to stretch fit easily. Although it is a wool loop the pile feels extremely soft and springy. New flooring day today for this hallway! Firstly the floorboards were overlayed with flooring grade plywood, joints and undulations smoothed over with a feather edge compound, and lastly this beautiful Leoline felt backed sheet vinyl was installed to replicate a herringbone parquet wood flooring. The vinyl itself is not only easy to keep clean but also feels warm under foot, and has a top quality finish and feel. Something a little out of the ordinary.. an open plan staircase, minimal carpet required, rather than a wrap around install, bespoke cut individual stair pads were specified. Working with the client on the first visit we planned and discussed how to obtain their required finish offering advice and alternative options. It is common in older homes to have awkward stairways and landjngs, this particular install required all 3 sides of an internal riser to be covered, 2 of which were plastered walls meeting wooden staircases. Firstly the main body landing was positioned and flowed over the main riser, then the two side risers were joined onto the main body and left to set before final fitting. There is no right or wrong way to this installation, just customer preference. After adding a media wall to a previously fully fitted lounge, this carpet required adapting to the new room dimensions. Being a solid floor the gripper required glueing as opposed to nailing, existing 10mm underlay re-trimmed and the existing carpet was then stretched, cut in and finished up to the new layout. This is by far the best way to finish an alteration to a room, be it fitted wardrobes, units or in this case a media wall rather than installing units on top of the existing fitted carpet. After the dogs ruined the previous carpet, a new 10mm underlay along with a plush deep piled carpet had been selected for refreshing this large lounge-diner. I am really impressed with my Revolut banking experience so far. Click LVT🤬 is usually too low for a generic z-section, and squashing down the trim leaves indents. These little easy wedges raise the click Lvt flooring just enough for the finished bar to sit on neatly and safely. 😎👍🏻

Quick visit yesterday to complete this bespoke stair runner we prepared last week by fitting the landing first then matching the stairs and half landing to. Stair runner incoming, striped carpet on the landing fully fitted first, stairs to be 50cm wide cut to coordinate with the landing. However the platform and bottom flight of stairs have been rotated 180 degrees so they also lineup and match the pattern direction, we are also installing the platform as a runner to flow seamlessly around the staircase.
