I need your advice! I have a new piano album ready to go, that was recorded in February. It's mixed and ready for release. The thing is, it's supposed to have strings and other instruments. Unfortunately, that gets very expensive and I'm just not in a position to cover the cost of recording right now.
I know crowd funding is an option, but my social media and publicity game is terrible, and I'm not convinced I'd get far with it. Should I just release it as is, or wait (for an indeterminate amount of time) until I can record the full version with strings?
Coming out November 17th - Zanarkand (from Final Fantasy X).
The Distant Worlds orchestral arrangement of Zanarkand is the definitive version for me, adding new countermelodies and interest to an already beautiful piece of music. This is my solo piano rendition of that arrangement.

Out now - Selected Electronic Works II - Rarites and Unreleased.
This is a compilation of very old productions (house, techno, dub), mostly from about 2010-2012, when I first started producing. Most tracks have some interesting theme or story behind them, and were not widely distributed. I'll post the stories behind each track in the comments!

Coming soon... Selected Electronic Works II - Rarities / Unreleased - A collection of electronic tracks (mostly - but not exclusively - house and techno) from early 2010s.
Most of these tracks either saw a very limited release or were never released at all.
One track was released on USB sticks found in the woods in Berlin as part of a site specific installation which never released online.
Another track was never released, and I thought it was lost forever, until I found a copy of draft mix on YouTube that someone ripped from SoundCloud 11 years ago. That one's been re-ripped and mastered ready for release.
There are some other unreleased tracks and collaborations on there too, as well as some remastered versions of very early releases.
Very pleased that these will now see the light of day!

First Light (2023 Version) - Out March 31st!
First Light was first written in 2005 when I was helping my stepdad, a fisherman, on his boat. It was early and there was almost no light other than the blue bioluminescence from algae called sea glow.
This song was going round in my head while we were working, and I later recorded an improvisation on the theme for Those Nights, released a couple of years later.
It's a short and simple piece but it remains one of my favourites from back in those days. This new release is updated recording with a modern touch and added electronics.
Please pre-save your to libraries to get it added as soon as it comes out.

New album time...
Coming soon on Amazon Prime, Sky, and Vudu - award winning comedy-horror, MANFISH! An odd-couple story with a very fishy twist.
This was such a fun project to be involved with (not as composer this time but as dialogue editor, foley, and mixer). Definitely worth a watch when it drops!
Very excited to be performing one of my all-time favourite pieces later this month, Gerald Finzi's Eclogue, accompanied by Southend Chamber Music Club's string orchestra.

I wrote the music to this advert a couple of months back and am pretty happy with how it turned out! It feels like it's a snippet from a larger piece. Reckon I should finish it and release?

A student asked me to teach them this song so I quickly came up with some ideas for how to translate it to piano. It's such an earworm so I carried on playing around with it after the lesson, which you can see here. Hopefully it gives you some ideas if you want to try playing it yourself!

Great time at Horror on Sea on Friday for the premier of Manfish and to finally meet the cast and crew! I was the sound mixer on this one - always a bit scary to hear the mix for the first time on a big system but pleased to say it turned out well, and the film was a big success!
Congrats to everyone involved, it's been a pleasure working with this talented lot.
