I am happy to announce that The Dutch Bakery Ltd will trade under new ownership from today. The business will continue operating from Birkdale.
My parents, Nic and Vera Klaassen, set up the business in 1959 in Liverpool and as a family we relocated to Liverpool Road, Birkdale in 1971. It truly has been a family business. My 3 brothers and sister have all been involved and more recently my wife and 2 daughters.
My loyal staff will continue to work here and I would like to thank them for their dedication and commitment over the mainly years they have worked here. I also want to thank all of my customers, some who remember my mum and dad and still shop with us today.
The new owner has lots of exciting ideas to develop the business further and I wish him every success for the future.
