So turns out we didn’t tap the Paulaner keg!

Didn’t feel right!

It’s a party-keg though and we generally have a party at the end of October to celebrate all things Autumn/harvest/Halloween!

We can tap it then and Ben can don the lederhosen again. What’s more scary than that?

There’s still some Oktoberfest beer on though Donzoko Brewing Company modelled by two handsome men!

Plus Erdinger Fest-weisse!

With that in mind! Every year I see good beers come and go whilst I wait for that weekend to come round!

This year I’m embracing the spirit of those optimistic souls that put their tree up as soon as is allowable without appearing insane!

Oktoberfest officially ends Sunday.

I know right! No more malty strong lagers! No more uncomfortable benches! No more Ben in liedehosen!

I joke of course! All these things are part of the Tap experience (except Ben I think he’s used up Ruth’s liedehosen patience-quotient for this year)

The Utopian Brewing Limited is pouring now then Donzoko Brewing Companyand I’ve been waiting patiently for the tapping kit for the Paulaner but if it doesn’t come I’ll put it on anyway! Cave Direct

Plus no-one has had a masskrug yet. Yeah it’ll be pricey but think how cool you’ll look!

Plenty of time to nip into town. Have a crafty half and take home some bottles or cans to drink with your BBQ!

We also can put our beers into crowlers if there’s something on the taps that take your fancy!

Please remember though that unless absolutely necessary cask beer should be drunk straight from the pump in the pub! This is non-negotiable I’m afraid!
