CHINESE NEW YEAR
The children had a wonderful day of activities celebrating Chinese New Year last week.
The day included a tuff tray activity with chopsticks to support their fine motor skills development - good work everyone and a classic Chinese New Year story during circle time.
The children were treated to a Chinese lunch and were given the choice to use chopsticks - this was loved by everyone with some excellent attempts!
The day also included a group art activity designing a dragon where the children had to demonstrate team work, collaboration and decision making. They were given choices of colours and gave their own opinions on what they would like to do.
The day ended off with singing classic Chinese New Year songs and some crazy dancing!
A massive thank you to our staff team for working so hard to make this happen for all of the children across our sites.

Supporting children’s development for us isn’t just about what happens inside our nursery, it’s about how we can work together WITH our families to achieve good outcomes for the child both in and out of the setting.
We have a lot of children on the cusp of being fully potty trained across our 3 settings, so here are some tips you may find helpful.

It was wonderful welcoming the children back into our nurseries today!
We loved hearing all of the different stories in our circle times this morning and afternoon.
During the day the children got to access the continuous provision and take part in amazing imaginative play, great physical development and motor skills activities and engage in some exciting maths activities!
Looking forward to doing it all over again tomorrow!
