With 4 layers of vanilla sponge filled with strawberry infused whipped swiss meringue buttercream and fresh homemade mango coulis. Dripped with more mango coulis and fresh dipped strawberries 🍓
This is the exact same style as my Signature pink lemonade drip cake, just with a different flavour combo.

Such a fabulous turn out at the beacon lighting party last night.
We totally sold out of all of our Cupcakes, Cookies and Meringues.

It seems the strawberries & cream flavour was the hit of the night and the fastest to sell out.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit us. It was lovely to be a part of the community atmosphere.

Here it is!
The wedding of my beautiful friends Venetia & Andy. The cake in all its glory, the venue, the flowers, it was just perfect!

A 3 tiered sponge cake with raspberry & white chocolate and strawberries & cream flavours. With a semi-naked finish dressed in real flowers to match the bridal bouquets.

As I said on the night, if it had been someone else having made this cake, I still would have rated it 10/10.
My goodness it tasted amazing!

Huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Dyer who celebrated their marriage today.
We had the pleasure of setting up this stunning wedding cake at Best Western Normanton Park Hotel this morning. What a beautiful room with breathtaking views of Rutland Water.

The couple opted for a base tier of raspberry & white chocolate, a dairy free lemon tier in the middle with a dairy free chocolate cake on the top. Finished with ruffled dairy free Swiss meringue buttercream and fresh flowers

Best news is I've finally found a safe trick to enable me to add gypsophila to cakes whilst remaining safe! (Not advised if you cannot guarantee safety as Gyp is a known toxic flower)

My brief was farm animals and two modelled cats to represent the family pets that Ioan adores. I just loved the idea of water colour style painted animals after some inspiration from someone else's cake.
It turned out to be such a fun cake that felt like it could have been a toy!

I've already had fabulous feedback and am so pleased it's been enjoyed by Ioan and his family 😊

Happy Birthday to my Daddy D***s who celebrated his birthday on Thursday.
In all honesty I was so super busy this week that I literally threw this cake together so last minute and true to my Dad, he loved it to pieces.
He even said I could think about selling these some day they're that great 😉

I also made a separate dairy free cake for my smallest due to allergies and another for my grandma as she's not a fan of choccy cake. Gotta keep everyone happy eh! 😊

The end result to a VERY busy week.
I started this week with a calculated FOURTY layers of cake to bake. And despite having one cancellation (and filling that spot with my own Daddy's cake) it's been pretty full on!
As well as all of those layers, it's all been about fresh lemon curd, mango & passionfruit curd, raspberry jam, strawberry jam, Swiss meringue buttercream, dairy free Swiss meringue buttercream, chocolate ganache, white chocolate ganache, dairy free chocolate ganache, modelled flowers, cats, rabbits and lots of stacking, dowelling and tiering!

You see being an artisan caker is much more than just baking a cake. It's all of those added elements to make the whole creation totally fresh and as free from preservatives as absolutely possible!
And having that centre piece to the birthday, wedding, christening or baby shower as absolutely stunning as possible whilst still being all sort of amazing on the inside 😁

This cake was an absolute luxurious piece of art work. Based on the flavours and style of a pornstar martini, the base tier was filled with a fresh mango and passionfruit curd that was a first for me (and most definitely a new signature flavour for sure)!
And the top tier a favourite for Rosemarie, my chocolate cake.
Adorned with beautiful exotic hand made sugar lilies 🌺

This is a mega tall, full on chocolate & crunchie flavoured drip cake.
Whilst I usually always make my own fillings, Matthew requested a cadburys crunchie spread layered between sponges and honeyed Swiss meringue.
So that's what he got! Finished off with more crunchie bars of course.
