Don't forget the free C25K programme starts this Tuesday!
Come join us down at the Halley Stewart Football group on Tuesday evening from 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. Please read the post and if you have any questions please send the club page a message. Hope to see you there!

Reasons why you could talk yourself out of joining a C25K programme…….

1. I can’t run!
2. Everyone will be faster than me!
3. I haven’t got any running gear!
4. I won’t know anyone!
5. I just can’t do it!

These are some of the many thought processes people have before joining a C25K programme or a running club. The whole point of joining a C25K programme is so we can support you to make small incremental steps each week so you can eventually reach your 5K goal. You will be supported by our experienced Run leaders and club members so we can get you to your goal at your own pace. You don’t need fancy running gear, just a pair of trainers and some comfortable clothes. Don’t wear lots of layers you will soon warm up. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know anyone….you soon will! I can assure you that the hardest step will be turning up on the first day and then you’ll realise there was nothing to worry about! So you can do it! So what’s stopping you?

This a free 9 week programme starting on Tuesday 14th May. We meet at the Sir Halley Stewart football ground on Winfrey Avenue. Arrive at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm leave. We run Tuesdays and Thursdays and encourage you to also try and get in an additional session during the week before you attend the following week.
To register your interest please message the club page or comment on this post.
Club members please SHARE!
We look forward to seeing you.

Hi everyone,

Busy week ahead! Routes below as normal with a few changes to note. Tuesday there is a track session available as well as the three distances and the C25K!. Thursday I have added three familiar routes as we will also be busy with the C25K programme. If you would like to help out with the C25K programme please let me know. It would be much appreciated.

Other reminders –
• Please keep sharing any West Pinchbeck 10k posts and if you can keep that date free to help out or run (we usually organise a session before the day for those club members that want to enter and get their medal but want to help out on the day).
• Please make sure you have paid your club membership and EA affiliation if requested. Membership fees are now overdue.
• Races coming up include Eye 10k tomorrow (12th), Grantham Summer Solstice (Friday 21st June) and Peterborough Running Festival (Sunday 30th June). Please think about joining in the fun.

Great club session for our 5K time trial. Lovely to have members from Three Counties joining us after they put us through our paces last month with a pyramid session 😁
So nice to meet everyone. A great night and some PB's! Big thank you to Martin and Karen for organising and the very welcome refreshments afterwards 😁 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ 🍷 ☕️

06/05/2024

Hi everyone,

Please see sessions below for this week. Tuesday is the timed 5k so please make sure you head to the address below rather than automatic pilot to the club! Thursday session from the club as usual.
Other things to think about as we have a lot going on at the moment –

• Have you booked your next race? Remember there are a number of us heading to Grantham Running Club Summer Solstice on Friday 21st June (speak to Lisa) a great number of us heading to Peterborough Running Festival on Sunday 30th June (speak to Mike). There are also a few people heading to Eye 10k next week (speak to Mike /Andy H). As we discussed at the AGM it would be good to support our local clubs as much as possible.
• C25K starts on Tuesday May 14th. Please help spread the word and share any relevant posts. Also if you’d like to help out please let me know.
• West Pinchbeck 10k race is now live. Please follow the page and share any update to promote the race. Further details of how you can support will be coming in the following weeks.
• As mentioned previously we need some more summer routes, ideally each one split into 3 distances. If you can help please let me know.
Many thanks, Lisa.
