The broken door has now been collected and there’s been an offer of help repairing it from Fred at the Co**ie Arms - much appreciated
**REQUEST FOR HELP***
On behalf of Leuchars Community Council
As you can see from the photo below the Village Community Notice Board has been damaged. I’m a Community Council Member however due to my disability I’m unable to attend and collect the damaged door. Is there anyone who would be able to collect the door and store it temporarily for us until we can arrange repairs?
The Community Council has a very limited annual budget £800. If there is anyone in the village who would be willing to re-attach the door for the benefit of the community we would be most grateful. Please contact me via FB Messenger. Thanks in advance.

If you drive in Edinburgh, Dundee or Aberdeen, you need to know that the cities will launch their Low Emission Zones (L*Z) shortly.

Dundee’s L*Z comes into effect on Thursday 30 May 2024. Edinburgh and Aberdeen’s L*Z comes into effect on Saturday 1 June 2024.

They join Glasgow, whose zone has already been operating for a year.

The Low Emission Zones restrict older, more polluting vehicles that do not meet the proposed minimum emission standards from entering the L*Z. If they enter a L*Z, once enforcement begins, owners will face a fine.

Find out more, check whether your vehicle meets the requirements and learn about exemptions: www.lowemissionzones.scot

Junction Gardens is looking really beautiful and is there for all to enjoy. Picnic tables to enjoy your lunch or a bench to sit and read your book or to look out for wildlife.

We rely heavily on volunteers and the Fife Community Payback Team and Gareth Niven have worked really hard once again this past week and I'm sure you will agree they have done an outstanding job on making the place look great!

Thank you so much to you all.
