We did it, the end has come. I’d like to say the biggest thank you for all your kind gifts and cards, I will cherish your words forever 🫶🏼🥺 I’ve said from the start of this big change, the job isn’t the hard thing to leave, my time behind a nail desk has ran its course and I’m 100% okay with that. The hard part was leaving you all. Some of which I’ve had for 12+ years, who invited me into your home whilst I was mobile, then followed me to Dundee, then Spoiled and finally up the road to the salon. Some not as long but it doesn’t feel any harder to leave you. We’ve been through everything together, marriages, births, deaths, divorces, global pandemic, kicking cancers arse, new jobs, house moves, general daily life therapy! We’ve laughed, cried, raged and even sang together! We’ve grown up together. I normally like to think I’m okay with words, but right now I don’t think words could ever do you all justice! Your loyalty, and cheerleading for my success but most importantly peace and happiness honestly makes me speechless, I know most of you don’t know each other, but I can assure you that you all have one huge thing in common, your all bloody amazing humans and I will truly miss our time together every month. It was always more than just nails, and I’ll never forget the connections we all made over that nail desk. Thank you for trusting me, thank for your friendship, supporting me and loving me. I love you all so much right back. Don’t be a stranger, connections like we have made last a lifetime ♥️

To some of you this will come as a shock, to others you may not be surprised…
And to be honest, I don’t really know how to say it, so before I ramble on. Here goes….
As of 29th June I will be closing the doors to Shiny Beauty Salon and my self employed career. It’s been a wild ride the past 7 years, Being your own boss has immense advantages but it also comes with a tonne of stress, pressure and financial instability. 13 years as a nail technician is something I’m crazy proud of, I adore being creative and will always have a deep passion for nails. However, it’s time to begin a new chapter in a whole new area - Cheshire is somewhere we have fallen so in love with, supporting our lovely family there and finding peace and comfort after a truly hard few years. A new exciting adventure for me and my wee family, yet close enough to my amazing family and friends up here, I always needed the ability to jump on a train and see their lovely faces 🥰

Anyway, enough about me. I have far too many thank you’s to ever be able to voice them the way you all deserve. Not only have you been my clients, you have turned in to great friends. You’ve listened and supported all whilst providing me a steady wage over the past 7 years. There will never be enough words to show my appreciation, you all hold a very special place in my heart. I will be opening the schedule up and working lots during these last few weeks, should you wish to move forward before I go please just reach out and I’ll sort it for you. If I’ve learned anything over the years it’s this: life’s too short, far too short, grab the opportunities and take risks, worry less and love so very hard ♥️

On Friday I had the pleasure of going to Ailsa’s and getting her and her 5 bridesmaids ready, there was so much excitement and happiness it was a true joy to be apart of! A random thunder storm appeared and stole our natural lighting so we improvised, bridesmaid Amy became my glamorous assistant and we improvised with a bedside lamp! 🤣

Hello everyone 🥰

Holidays are a great time to reset and I have done exactly that! After working 4 days a week until 8-9pm for the last few years I’ve decided it’s time to cut that back. It’s not sustainable long term. Myself and my husband (still feels so weird saying that 🤣) don’t get days off together, so we would like to make the most of our evenings together!

As of September I will be slowly changing my hours over, the schedule has been updated to reflect my new hours. Some of you may of had a wee notification through stating a slight change of time/date, if there is any issues with the new proposed time don’t hestitate to get in touch!

I plan on doing
• Monday 10-5pm
• Tuesday 10-5pm
• Wednesday 10-5pm
• Thursday 11-8pm

This means my late night availability will be a bit less, but I should still manage to fit all my after work clients in if I’ve worked things out correctly, and of course If you don’t need an evening app I would love to see you during the day 🥰

I’d reccomend booking as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment, of course at times such as Christmas and before I go off for holiday leave there will be more late nights added. (Xmas schedule is done already!)

If anyone has any concerns at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch! I’m always more than happy to help where I can 😃

I’m back! 🥰 after an incredible time away getting married I am so looking forward to seeing you all, todays my first day back to work ☺️ this was my wedding nails, using the amazing chrome by all the way from 🇺🇸 I brought some back for you guys to try out!
