We’ve taught our members how to strike, and we’ve taught our members to grapple. Now… to skirt multiple false advertising lawsuits: we’ve teamed up with chairman and coach to bring you a Mixed Martial Arts Seminar! Teaching you how to combine different striking and grappling elements, and adjust them to a full-MMA context.

What a day at the GB Muay Thai University championships!

2 Gold and one Silver medal. With only one striking session a week, our fighters have thrown down and come up on top against some of the best gyms in the uk.

AGM Time!

This year’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday the 17th of March. This is where our members run and vote for the committee for the next academic year.

Being on committee (in any position) gives you a say on all decisions regarding the club, and acts as a way to engage more with the club while boosting your CV.

Speeches will be made on the day, but please make your applications in advance by messaging the page or talking to one of our committee members.

After realising that no one in South Africa can match the levels at St Andrews MMA, our coach Shaughn Vos has finally returned to coach us on Friday mornings.

Having coached professional Black Belts and MMA fighters: Shaughn’s sessions will be ideal for anyone wanting to compete in either.

For the second year in a row, it’s clear that the only club that can compete with St Andrews MMA... Is St. Andrews MMA!!!

So we're bringing back our intra-club for you guys to decide who the best fighters in the world are.
The striking matches will be competitive spars, no KOs or winners declared (to keep things friendly). The grappling matches will be 5 minutes and submission only.

We will do our very best to match people up evenly, and no one is obligated to participate if they don't want to.

Member Announcement:

Tomorrow’a grappling session will not be going ahead. Saturday and Sunday will run as normal.

Anyone wishing to use the space during the allocated time slot should ask the reception beforehand, but this would not be classed as a session with the MMA club, as there will be no first aid-trained committee member present.
