Caddie Golf Tours

This morning saw the annual R&A GC new Captain's drive-in ceremony from the Old Course 1st tee.

Mr Ian Pattinson struck his drive at 08:00 straight down the 1st fairway where local caddie Mike Lowe caught the golf ball.

On returning the ball to the new Captain, Mike received the traditional gold sovereign as a thank you.

It was the annual R&A new Captains drive-in ceremony this morning. Local caddie Mike Lowe caught Ian Pattinson's golf ball as it bounded straight down the Old Course 1st fairway.

St Andrews Caddies golf outing at Drumoig GC played today. A great sunshine day with the expected strong wind staying throughout the round. A good turnout, and seriously good golfers playing from the caddie pool.

Keith Bowman wins prestigious 'John Sorley Vase' for the best gross score of 73, the par for this demanding golf course.

Stevie Turnbull takes the 'Caddies Claret Jug' with the best net score of 72.

Nearest the pins on par 3s 11th & 16th go to Morgan 'Tubz' Will and Stevie Turnbull.

Longerst drive on the par 5 5th went to Keith Bowman, our best scratch score man!

Greg & son Cooper golfed at today in glorious Scottish sunshine. After a spot of lunch, they transfer to Glasgow, their home for the weekend, and from where they will visit at .

Greg & son Cooper, our golfers from Chicago, split up today. Cooper golfs the Jubilee Course with his caddie from yesterday's round over the New Course.

His dad managed to be picked out in the 'Singles Ballot', receiving a 12:30 tee time on the Old Course...Fore!

Golf tomorrow at the wonderful , and then a wee transfer to to enjoy the weekend .

They are living their super golf trip to Scotland.

A good couple of beers with our Ottawa golfers this evening. Lovely to meet and have a wee debrief of golf thus far. The lads are having a great time.

After a 5 hour delayed flight from Chicago, father & and son Greg and Cooper make it to the Castle Course 1st tee with 8 minutes to spare. Neither the flight nor a wee rain shower deterred them from crunching it down the middle...Fore!

A good day at Brechin GC with the Kingsbarns Golfing Society. A tricky tree lined James Braid course with his dog-leg hallmark on a view holes. Lovely golf course with spectacular views to the Grampian mountains. I finished with a credible 30 stableford points & 5th spot...Fore!
