Anyone who didn’t manage to get to the meeting today here is the information sheets I grabbed for you all to look at, hopefully this will give some residents reassurance that soon enough once RAB consultants come around the look at houses we could get some
Flood resilient items within the homes that flood to help stop it.

Just wanted to post here a letter that’s landed on a few Sandon Road residents door steps to make sure everyone is aware for if you wanted to object to more houses being built in a flood area with drainage already not coping. Please anyone whose house floods you will understand why this is not suitable. Thanks

All Sandon Road residents from the Chinese to Corporation Street it would seem the council are doing some jetting tomorrow. I’ve seen cones put on the path please can you try to keep the road clear as this will make a massive difference to people not flooding. Thanks 👍🏻

Evening everyone, we recently received this letter from the Enviroments Agency regarding looking at flood risk management for the houses on Sandon Road that flood inc cellars. Please could anyone interested to see if they could be eligible for flood barriers/doors and other flood resilience measures email [email protected] this is something different to that Stafford borough council have already leaflet dropped the area about after Storm Babet. Please anyone who thinks they would benefit these email as soon as possible I wouldn’t want you to miss out. Thanks

This is Sandon Road just now, please avoid the road if possible. The Highway’s agency has just put out road closed signs but every man and his dog is ignoring this. Marston Road is backed up and Oxford Gardens.

21/02/2024

Hi everyone a local resident who is at risk of flooding regular is asking for recommends for flood proof windows for the cellar for both ventilation and protection when needed and sump pumps and local fitters if possible please. Anyone with knowledge of these items to give reviews would be brilliant. Thanks.

09/02/2024

Sandon Road is still closed off this morning and as a warning traffic is manic on the smaller roads such as Marston Road this includes massive trucks that generally can’t fit down, this is with all the roadworks going on this extra pressure on the roads is shocking I feel for all the local residents.

Does anyone on here know how we can change the page setup to allow residents to create their own posts on the page? It's set up currently as below so I looks like everything is right in terms of page setup perspective.

This is a community page for those affected by the sandon road floods to ask for support when needed and to also see updates when we get them from the local council/authorities. Ideally we'd like people to be able to post on the page so if anyone knows how to do this please let us know 🙏

The landlady at The Tap just on the corner looking onto the garage/freeman street would like to offer any neighbours that are struggling with the floods the opportunity to come in and sit in warmth and have a hot drink. There’s board games to play in our tap room and the tv will be on. Thanks Abi!

Hi everyone, just wanted to check in as I know Sandon Road is flooded outside the garage and it was coming up on the traffic lights on corner of corporation Street. The roads are really busy due to people trying to cut through. Please stay safe and if you need anything please message. Thanks

13/10/2023

Sandon Road by the Shell garage is flooded and seems to be quite deep, at least two cars are stuck. Please think before driving thought a flood and avoid the area as Marston Road is also very busy from cars trying to get around it 👍🏻. Also flood warning was put in place this morning for River Sow and Penk so if you have flood barriers it may be worth popping them on. If you need anything please shout we will try and help if we can.
