Despite the rain, a great day at the under 11 and under 13 girls club softball competition at Little Stoke. Congratulations to Oakamoor (u11) and Checkley (u13) who were the winners.
Also congratulations to Stone SP (u11) and Barlaston (u13) who were the runners up.

70 girls are joining us at Little Stoke today for the ECB under 11/ under 13 girls softball competition. Good luck to all teams taking part and we hope you have a fantastic day. 🏏

Staffordshire Women had a successful trip to Cumbria winning the ECB Women's Group 1 encounter by 75 runs. A good team performance saw Staffs batting first and achieved 137 runs after a positive powerplay (56-2) off their 20 overs. Tight bowling and great energy in the field always kept Cumbria behind the run rate. Taking wickets regularly Cumbria were bowled out for 62 (15.3 overs).

To round the day off Staffs won the friendly game by 8 wickets. Restricting Cumbira to 82 runs, Staffs reached the target in 10 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.

Newcastle-under-Lyme School became champions with a win vs Queen Mary's Grammar School Hashim 26 & Manan 36 were the mainstays for NULS 137 all out. Will Baker-Moss 3-34
QMGS lost out with an over to spare thanks to a lovely knock by Zane Ali-Muhammad 69 in a partnership of 65 with Oscar Crosby

Staffordshire CCC are playing Warwickshire CCC in a Showcase event at Knypersley Cricket Club on Sunday 21st July.

We're looking for junior, All Stars or Dynamos cricketers to come along and provide a guard of honour for the game.

Dentstone 239-5: Oscar Edwards with a brilliant 101 backed up by Lucas Tweets 50 and Sammy Emmerson 36* was too much for Newcastle under Lyme (151 ao) despite a skippers knock - 85 by Joe Harrison. Toby Lloyd-Davies with 4-28 gave Denstone the victory.

190-7 for NULS with Eli Graves 44 & Cameron Smith (34). Charlie Boyd taking 3-23.

A fantastic day for two finals in the English Schools Cricket Competition. We are underway with Newcastle under Lyme School vs Dentsone College in both the U12's & U14's. Amazing job done by Rolleston Cricket Club in hosting - thanks to all involved.
