Mini Expo with Kimpton Fitzroy London and -centre ✨

The team from The Kimpton Fitzroy told us all about their London venue with a historic feel. The Grade II listed building is located in the heart of London and in a prime location being walking distance from Kings Cross and Euston Station🚆

We also learnt a lot about the incredible spaces at Queen Elizabeth II Centre. The property is the largest in Central London, holding over 450 events to a wide range of sectors throughout the year 🤩

Have you heard about the new Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch visitor charge?

From 1st July 2024, a supplementary charge of £2.00 + VAT per room per night will be added to accommodation bills in 70 hotels in the area.

This supplementary charge is collected from all paid accommodation establishments that fall into the Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch area. The hotel and tourism industry in the towns says the initiative will ‘secure and develop’ the conurbation’s position as one of the nation’s leading destinations.

The Visitor Charge is used to fund and deliver an improved visitor experience for guests, helping to promote tourism in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. It is anticipated this charge will raise around £2million every year, which will be invested back into the area.

Tourism taxes are more common in continental Europe and they are starting to pop up around the UK, hinting towards a UK-wide trend in the near future.

💚Charity visit 🐶

Last week, we had an extra special visit from Jane and Bec from The Mutts Nutts Rescue. They kindly brought along their adorable furry friends, Tilly and Ben, and shared how the inspirational charity helps pets and their owners 💓

Mutts Nutts Rescue is a small local charity, set up to help the elderly and terminally ill with their pets when they cannot manage alone. The charity has a talented and dedicated team of volunteers provide support in the form of fostering, dog walking, transporting pets to the vet or groomer, and fundraising 🐕

We loved learning about your amazing charity! You are an asset to the local community! 🤩
