Ofsted showers praise on 'vibrant and exciting' Stevenage nursery A Stevenage nursery that offers a "vibrant, exciting learning environment" has been rated good by Ofsted in all areas.

This month marks a very special work anniversary for Marion. She has worked at Priory nursery for 20 years! This is a great achievement and one that's not often seen in early years.

This week, we celebrated this anniversary by presenting Marion with this certificate, a bunch of flowers and a voucher for Marion to enjoy dinner out with her family.

We are extremely lucky to have a solid base to our nursery team and Marion certainly plays an important part of that.

It's been a long month of waiting but our Ofsted report has now been published on the Ofsted website so we can share it with everyone!

We are very pleased with the report and that we are 'good' in all areas. We already have plans for the small recommendations mentioned. Some of which the inspector knew were in pipeline!

Yesterday afternoon we had confirmation that Anna has successfully passed her Early Years Educator qualification!

Today we had a little surprise celebration and presented Anna with a couple of small well done gifts.

Anna signed up to this in January 2023 and I know she's really pleased to have passed. Anna has already found the next course she wants to complete!

This evening in nursery, we had a little baby shower for Holly as she goes on maternity leave.

We wish Holly all the best for the coming weeks, we can not wait to meet the next Priory Baby 💙

Well done to Sharon M, from nursery, Tracie from preschool and director Sharon Z who have all this week completed the 7 month Early Years Professional Development Programme.

It was a programme consisting of online self-study and regular webinars to meet with other early years professionals and a tutor to discuss the self-study topics.

The three modules covered were communication and language, mathematics and personal, social and emotional development. Each module was then broken down to weekly sub-headings.

We currently have two other members of our team who have just come to the end of their first module.

Charlene has recently attended a 'Little Einsteins' training session which was all about enhancing our science learning opportunities for children.

Charlene has some great ideas and found the course useful. We've been looking at bringing some of her suggestions into nursery. She's also been sharing lots of information with the rest of the Priory teams 🙂

We are currently looking for a full time (35 hours) Early Years Educator - for this role you would need to hold a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.

We are also looking for a part time/casual member of staff to join the team. We would ideally be looking for someone who is also level 3 qualified for this role but for the right person we would support you to gain your level three qualification. Hours would be between 9-3 so may suit a parent with older children in school.

There has been so much conversation about cold, ice and the objects we've frozen. Not forgetting how and why the water changes to make ice!

Now both of our settings are closed and our team have finished for Christmas we would like to take a moment to thank each and everyone of them for all they do for us, our work family, our children and their families.

We wouldn't be what we are without our amazing teams. We hope you all have a great Christmas and it's all you want it to be.

To our children and their families, a very heartfelt thank you for the lovely gifts you have very generously given. It's never expected but always appreciated. We love our jobs. Being able to see the change in children's development and their personalities develop during their time with us is the most amazing and rewarding part of the role.

Sharon and the teams at Priory Pre-School, Norton and Priory Nursery Stevenage Old Town have been once again welcoming the best Father Christmas to our children's Christmas parties.

Pleased to report all children and staff were on the good list with presents for all!
