A GRANT FROM OUR CHARITABLE TRUST ENCOURAGES 'A LIFELONG LOVE OF MUSIC ...' says Woolenwick School's excellent Newsletter ....

'We began our Primary Music Strategy in September 2023,
offering our entire cohort of 60 Year 2 children free, weekly lessons on their own 'DooD' (beginner plastic
clarinets).

Laying the foundations for a lifelong love of music and driving equity in music education for the early years, realised thanks to the generous support of Stevenage Grange Rotary Club. We have purchased the remainder of the DooD instruments to ensure that we can offer the next stage of the strategy in the 2024-25
academic year.

For our current Year 2 children, we are planning a special Gala Concert at Stevenage Music Centre in June (date
tbc). This will take place in the early evening and offer a great opportunity for our children to showcase their great musical journey so far."
