Forth Inn Aberfoyle
Locals and Visitors always welcome. Great place to meet your friends and make new acquaintances. Fr
Seriously, thank you, everybody, for your offers of support & help. It's all overwhelming, very kind and much appreciated.
It's not just via here the messages have come. Messages of support & help have also been sent personally. Everyone on the street I've met has offered the same, and people have even come to my home.
There are a lot of good people around here.
Please accept my apologies if I have not got back to you.
We have experience of this, you might be aware!
We are currently closed and will likely stay that way for a while. We are waiting for a Loss Adjuster to be appointed to visit and give us direction. I'm sure you can imagine it's a disaster zone inside the building.
I will do my best to update you when I have more news.
Best
Phil
Worst flood ever… but it’s going down.
Don’t cha just love SEPAs advice

The Trossachs is looking a wee bit special just now... fingers crossed for no more storms, we've had enough rain for a while.
My favourite place on Loch Ard am today. Just add Light and this is what happens.

Here you go, taking part in another village event this time its Apple Day with Aberfoyle Memorial Village Hall.
The boys have got Apples from the Hall (thank you) and turned them into Apple Strudels, served with creme anglaise... how good is that?
Great pic from Mike by the way.
Enjoy.
Another nice mention for Aberfoyle….
Here are 5 of the best autumn walks in Scotland to enjoy in the coming weeks including The Hermitage Summer may be behind us, but autumn arguably showcases Scotland at its most beautiful.

Couple more games on TNT (the new BT) tonight that might interest a few folk... Liverpool 1st at 5.45pm then Rangers at 8pm
Wonderful generous review... nice one guys.
A few games to choose from tonight, one or two tasty matches available and I believe we are the only pub with BT Sports so over to you guys...
Will it be Celtic or Man City, PSG or Barcelona we watch, well that depends on who and when people come in!
See you later.
Came across this ad via an email (I do like Rab gear!)...
Now, obviously I've no idea how this has happened but it's remarkable that someone who works for Rab in the advertising dept has come across this aqua duct in our very own forest, when they have lots of forests to play with and thought this will be a great spot for a gear ad, don't you think!
I suspect the Dukes Weekender or the Dirt Divas MTB & Gravel work may be at play a little here... well done guys every little helps!
Big Question...
Is The Forth Inn Haunted?
Over the years we have had several "Experiences" mostly involving staff, from moving chairs, TV's, Children Running, Hilda assisting in the kitchen etc etc.
Then a guest passed this video over... are these 'Orbs' the guest thought so!
Gav you was in there...what do you think?
Comments welcome
8pm tonight... nice end to the weekend.

Happy Days.
Nice one…
🍺 I have lodged a Parliamentary Motion to congratulate Forth Inn Aberfoyle and THE OAK TREE INN, on winning awards at the Scottish Bar & Pub Awards.
If you haven't already visited these fantastic establishments then why not visit this Autumn?
A little more happening than the Dukes this weekend.
Small matter of a Rugby tournament starting, and we know how we like our Rugby.
So, first of all its been a tradition that we come up with a Finger Food Offering for during the game. We've got one, as you would expect it's a bit tasty... but you will have to wait to see what it is. We've also got a bit of support from the Brewery, which always helps.
Now, we've decided how to set up the Bar for the games that usually attract a crowd. We had a wee shuffle around with the tables and came up with an idea... thoughts are welcome.
However, to add a little interest, I'll give a free Rugby Finger Food offering to whoever comes up with the best Quip or One Liner, with a Rugby theme thats posted on our Facebook site before a game... here are a few examples.
The food is always Scrumptious down at The Forth Inn.

It would be best if you had someone to Prop up the Bar
or
There's always one Flanker that's had too much to drink!

It's not a Bar without a Ho**er
