Our chai latte is the ultimate cozy beverage that redefines traditional chai lattes with a bold blend of spices designed to warm you up as the chill sets in. A combination of unrefined sugar, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, allspice nutmeg and clove proudly blended and packaged by us here, in Scotland, we give you the best of chai in one cup and challenge the mainstream chai lattes to Chai Harder! Time to embrace the cold season one chai sip at a time ✨

We are incredibly proud that our Matcha comes directly from Japan, from the Chikushi Plain in Yame. It is high grade and single-origin, made with only Yabukita cultivar. Green tea from Yame has won 1st prize for best green tea 14 times over the last 17 years. The region is prone to morning mists which wrap the plantations in a deep fog resulting in greener looking and sweeter tasting green tea.

There is no such thing as too much Wee Stoater! Need we say more? 😉

As the days shorten, the nights linger, and the grey looms over our heads, our Kinross cafe front brightens the town with a pop of colour reminiscent of the vibrant blue sunny summer sky 💙

With the rainy and cold weather setting in, it is (finally) the season of hot chocolate 🍫 Our hot chocolate is a wee bit different from what you might expect. Created and blended in our cafe, it’s perfectly balanced with just enough sweetness to let each flavour shine without overwhelming your taste buds.

We have six blends to pick from, and each blend brings its twist to the hot chocolate experience. A good starting point is the classic Classic (of course) or Salted Caramel hot chocolate. However, you can further explore the possibilities of hot chocolate with Blaze (lavender, papaya, baobab), Wolfberry (goji, raspberry, orange peel), BChoc (beetroot, unroasted cacao) and Nordic (spirulina, peppermint).

Even in a full café, silence can linger. Each of us lost in our own worlds, immersed in personal realities, projects, lives. Yet all connected by the simple joy of a cup of coffee.

Thanks to the creativity of our amazing baristas, we have not one but two exciting menu additions for our Stirling cafe! While they are both iced drinks, we couldn't wait until next summer when it's warm again to let you discover how amazing these are!

First, the Espresso Tonic that combines the deep, smooth chocolate, hazelnut and caramel flavours of gently bitter Wee Stoater with the zing of tonic to create a refreshing drink with a caffeine boost. A pick-me-up for any time of the day 😉

And second but just as delicious is our alternative take on matcha, the Matcha Tonic. Full of antioxidants, this blend of earthy electric matcha and zingy yet sweet tonic makes a refreshing and energizing drink. Tonic and matcha pair beautifully creating a balanced fusion of flavours (and bonus: it is very pretty in colour!) 💚

The cozy dim lighting, the sound of raindrops on the window, a distant mix of music and chatter in the background, a delicious cup of coffee, and a cheeky slice of cake make this grim autumn weather feel not so grim at all 🌧

No more floating in space because here it is - Gravity! Our first coffee focused for the (you guessed it) gravity drip brew method.

This beauty from Honduras has notes of unrefined panela sugar - similar to light brown sugar but with a cleaner, sticky quality. The body and aroma of the coffee is further enhanced with beautiful coffee dessert notes and the dried chewy sweetness of raisins.

A coffee that keeps your feet firmly on the ground and offers the security that everything is going to be good today.

While the cafe is usually full to the brim with hardly a seat in sight, there are odd moments when it goes empty and silent all of a sudden with only one or two regular customers silently enjoying a cup of coffee. For us those brief moments usually mean making a fresh coffee to sip on and sitting down for a wee chat before the cafe gets full again. As you can see Niall and Michael are attentively listening because Eleanor always has the most interesting stories to tell!

Our ceremonial grade Matcha is a taste of Japan from the comfort of your own home. Imported by us directly from Yame, Fukuoka in Japan, this fine milled green tea is lush, vivid and rich in umami flavour. Our cosmic electric Matcha, a chasen and milk of your choice is all you need for a smooth and absolutely delicious matcha latte at home. And shhh... Our secret is a dash of honey or maple syrup to elevate the flavour to the next level 💚

Michael finds himself at Unorthodox yet again on his day off and this time he brought Norrie. She is the sweetest most gentle wee thing that will guilt trip you with puppy eyes into petting her. With all of that being said, we are a dog friendly cafe! So next time you are on a coffee run, bring your furry friend with you to keep you company (and to make us happy because dogs are the best)! 🥰
