The summer holiday has started !!

Day 1. End of school year party today !!

We also have a meeting with social workers to see if they can come in our home and help with Alfie through the day. I’ve only been asking for 3 years.

I’ve not posted on here for a while, we have been really busy as always!!

With it being the summer holidays we will be filling our time with all sorts of stuff!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of the summer holidays even though the weather is rubbish , it doesn’t stop us from having fun !!

Let’s make bath time more fun !!!

How do I do that ???

I know !!!

So I bought a huge pack of glow sticks and put them in the bath !!

Alfie loves it we put music on and have a dance in the bath !!

Half term fun !!!

Alfie struggles being out of his routine so I’ve tried to make this week packed with different activities to do.

We have built train tracks.
We have done baking.
We have played games.
We have done painting.
We have done bubbles.
Done your signing cards.

We still have more things to do !!

No rest for us !!

We like to keep busy !!!

I hope you all have had a nice half term, and parents I take my hat of you !!

What do you do when your child doesn’t want to sleep ??

My answer to that is make some noodles and eat while we lie in bed, alfie is watching things on his iPad and I’ve put I robot on !

As I write this it’s currently 2:00am !!

I also get really bad mum guilt that alfie won’t be in school but I just try and not let that get to me too much. But I’ve come to a great understanding with mum guilt. It might not make sense but I think when your such a good parent (mother/father) you get mum guilt because your such a great parent and we beat our selfs up because of society. This world can be so cruel unfortunately!! So if your awake with your little one hello from me and Alfie 👋 you are not on your own ❤️

Fingers crossed 🤞 we will be back to sleep and have a productive day when we wake up !!

We have had such a good day !! Only a couple of melt downs !!

We made cupcakes (peppa pig)

We did some colouring in !!

Now time to pick what we want for tea !!

So we are currently going through a no sleep phase !!

Alfie has also lost another tooth 🦷

He is not phased by it what’s so ever so that’s good !!

So time for a nice chilled day and early night for school tomorrow!!

So up to now Alfie has lost his first tooth and been outside on his scooter and he was happy doing him self for a little bit !!!

You opened your presents and signed thank you and gave me a kiss and that was magical!!

Even though we are still poorly we are going to enjoy our day !!

Alfie is finally asleep!!!

I want to talk about a topic that I think people find difficult to talk about..

Alfie not speaking

You get asked how do you talk to him?
How do you know what he wants?
Aww it must be sad you don’t hear his voice?
Are you sure he’s just not being lazy?

Well to answer these questions or other questions you might have. Alfie will you tell you what he wants believe me !! The same way if someone was blind or deaf or who can not speak the same language as you do. We all find a way!!

As I sit here today Alfie can now say up to 5 words if you ask him to say them. He doesn’t pronounce them properly but oh well I don’t care.

I am also teaching him sign language and we are doing that together as i had help from his nursery when he went there, but also I’ve learnt by buying flash cards and watching YouTube.

Alfie will do a lot of showing you by hand leading and pointing and that alone is a massive help !!

I will be posting videos of us using the flash cards and i will post a link on as well where I got them from.

It’s good to learn sign language as it’s known world wide and you never know when it might come in handy.

You are doing so well going to the shops and being around lots of people !!

Let people stare Alfie when your having a meltdown not everyone understands!!

Alfie smashed it today we went into smyths toys store and it was busy !!

You did get nervous but you didn’t let that stop you from buying your toys !!

You walked around the whole shop and even signed thank you to the check out lady!!

I am so proud !!!

We then went to Asda and Alfie picked his pizza and helped me put it on the till !!

Go on Alfie !!!!

This year we can say we did it !!!

So proud of you Alfie !!

You always give everything a go even if you hate it you still try !!

I can hands down say , Ninas Nursery Davenport is the best nursery. The staff are amazing they offered and gave me so much support the whole time alfie was there !!!
They made me and Alfie feel like family.

I can not recommend them enough !!!

What a way to start our day 2:30am wake up , we have wacted hocus-pocus 2 🎃🧡

We are now lay in bed watching videos on our iPads !!!

Shattered is not the word !!!

I never knew doing the school run would be this amazing !!!

We do this every morning on the way to school!!

He will no longer hold my hand and loves walking down the hill to see the cars!! We have to stop so he can wave at them and watch them!

He runs and hops and jumps on his way to school!! I never imagined he would ever be like this and it’s amazing to see.

Alfie has completed his first 2 weeks of school and is now doing over two hours!!!

I am so proud the ehcp is really helping the staff !!

He’s done pe in the hall with his class mates and also has been having his time out in the sensory room !!

I want to say sorry for not posting on here for a while. We have been very busy!!! I do have great news this week we FINALLY got the official diagnosis!!!

We have also been on holiday to wales and alfie smashed it !!!

I will be doing a post just on the holiday !!

Keep your eye peeled for it !!

Does anybody else’s child/children love the washing machine??

Every time it’s on he can not get any closer to it!!

He makes me chuckle and also slightly concerned when I watch his head slightly bang off it when it’s spinning. As soon as I move him away from it he points and cry’s and wants to go back.
