“I was lucky enough to be picked to win the latest Dhaaniya Giveaway on Facebook. We won a set menu for two, and paid for an extra main dish, a naan bread and a portion of chips for the four of us.
The set menu came with onion bhajis and chicken tikka starters with poppadums. The onion bhajis were full of flavour, really fresh and crispy- some of the best we’ve had. The poppadums were served with a generous assortment of sauces, and the chicken tikka starter was served off the bone, with delicious onions and a side salad.
Onto the mains: the teenagers devoured the chicken tikka masala, which came with a rich red masala sauce bursting with flavours of tomato, coconut and spices. We also had a mixed tandoori grill- full of delicious, generous fillets of well- marinated lamb, chicken, chicken leg, and seekh kebabs, again, served with a great sauce. We also tried the mixed meat Dopiaza, which was amazing. Again, a generous portion of meat, served in a rich, well spiced sauce with peppers and chilli. The naan bread was soft and fresh. The surprise stand out dish was the mushroom bhaji- which was part of the set menu, a side dish of finely chopped mushrooms in a rich curry sauce- we all loved it!
The staff at Dhaaniya were all lovely too. I’d strongly recommend it, and it’s definitely on my list up to back and order more dishes to try!”
