‘Amy avec spring roll’ ~ 2023
I must say, I’m excellent at capturing everyday moments…🫔
Amy might not think so 😂
Life drawing session in Macclesfield t’other night.
Not done life drawing since collage - feels good to get back into it. 💕
‘Sink Job’
Continuing with ‘The Everyday’ series…
Im sure you can see all the ‘toothbrush’
I’m working on a load of ideas at the minute about everyday life, moments that stand out to me in mine (not sure why this one does though, just thought it would make an interesting painting) 😂
Quick tonal portrait study, feels good to get those creative juices flowing 🎨🖌
Lady at Leicester Arms. 🍷
Been mapping out this piece that will be part of ‘the everyday’ series that I’m currently exploring. She looks a little ghoulish at the moment 👻
Painting of George I’ve been working on for my mum for Mother’s Day 💕🐕
Wanted to capture a mature George with his frosty snout and whiskers 🧓🏻
A painting within a painting 🪄
Quick evening study of the view from wolfs pass in Edale, Peak District. 🐺🏔
Monday night painting session started off with simple spiral composition but had evolved into a driving lesson composed of left and right turns, junctions and single yellow lines 😂 🚙
I did have a driving lesson yesterday…maybe it’s creeping into my art subconsciously 🫣
This diptych started off very different, you can see elements of it under the paint where the red and lighter greens come through. It was originally portrait, but didn’t like it so flipped it and started again. 🙃
Número dos ✌️
This piece was created with a limited pallet but using acrylic paint and oil bars. Similar process with concealing and revealing areas as the previous piece.
I think I’ve found a new favourite medium with the oil bars by 💕
Something a little bit different today, trying to overcome my ‘writers block’ ✍️
As an artist, sometimes I find ideas can be overwhelming and you end up getting g wrapped up in the end result or doing nothing at all. So today I picked up a paint brush, popped some ‘Café Nero’ music on (jazz) and went with my artist instinct and create this abstract piece.
As it evolved I found myself covering up areas I didn’t like, then painting over then covering up again. This process of revealing and concealing was the main force in this piece.
I think sometimes when your create something wether a piece of art, music etc, you focus on the end result and forget to enjoy the process.
Acrylic, oil bar & oil pastel.

‘Into the west’ ready for it’s forever home…💕
Print mounted and framed, couldn’t decide which one to post so you’ve got them all 😆
Merry Christmas everyone ✨💕🎅🏻
Here’s a wee doodle I drew of the grinch nearly 10 years ago 😂
Into the west - print inspired by Annie Lennox song ‘Into the West’ that was played at dads funeral. The song speaks about souls traveling across the shore to the undying lands.
It’s been a year without you and although its hard not having you with us, your still alive in our memories and dreams. Keep your chins up, all of them - as you always said.
Lots of love forever and always # # #
“Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
Night is falling
You have come to journey's end
Sleep now
Dream — of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come
To carry you home
And all will turn to silver glass
A light on the water
All souls pass
Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don't say
We have come now to the end
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again
And you'll be here in my arms
Just sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come
To carry you home
And all will turn to silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West”
