This months Artist is she is a digital media artist who specialises in photography and graphic design. She first picked up a camera at the age of 12 and hasn’t put it down since. Her joy for graphic design came about while she was at university and her skills have continued to grow.

Did you know we are organising Cheadle Jubilee Arts Festival, which will be held inside St Mary’s church.
The festival will run from 2nd-4th June between 10-4pm.

Did you know that once you have finished displaying one of cards you can plant it and it will grow some beautiful plants. They are made from the 100% pre-consumer waste cotton that will degrade naturally in the soil, will with lots of seeds embedded.

Today the amazingly talented came in to set up her work as this months artist.

Captivated by the history of Stockport, as well as her own personal memories, she enjoys showing off Stockport's landmarks just as they are and how everybody remembers them: with no frills, but standing the test of time.

J-B Designs has lived in Cheadle for 3 years and it definitely feels like home.

The best way I can describe my art is my therapy. The beauty of it is that the simple repetition of detailed patterns help me to escape the chaos of the world for just a few moments. I've always battled with anxiety and depression but to find something that brings me so many hours of joy is one of my many blessings. Each piece can take 5 hours or more to complete which is why I take great pride in my work when a piece is completed. The feeling of accomplishment I get from creating this artwork is something to remember on days when I feel like I've not accomplished anything, I find control in my work when my life feels out of control.

If you suffer from mental health issues like myself, find me and talk to me. Know you're not alone and together through art I am convinced we can feel happiness again.
