Dark Lip Neutralisation is a treatment which works to lighten darker lips and neutralise the darker tones with specific pigments. Pigment colours are created for each individual to achieve best results.

What to expect from first session:

Immediately after your lips will be lighter and pinker in colour. This treatment may require more than 2-3 sessions. We are working with the current pigment of the lips to neutralise.
Please trust the process! This treatment requires patience and can take around 2-5 sessions depending on your current lips, skin cell turn over and lifestyle.

What is the healing process?

Downtime is minimal and shouldn’t affect your day-to-day life. You may experience flaky dry lips for the first 5 days. Lips will be completely healed at 6-8 weeks.

How long will the results last?

Why is this different to Lip Blush?

Lip Blush is a treatment which applies colour to the lips. This is suitable for light/pale/pink lips with little to no definition. Lip Blush is perfect for restoring lip shape, definition and giving the lips colour. With Lip Blush, colour choices can be more flexible and colour matching is also available. Full results can take usually 2 sessions.

Lip Neutralisation is a treatment with works with the current pigment of the lips from hyperpigmentation or melanin. This is suitable for clients with darkening on the or two toned lips and wish to brighten the current lips to a more neutral tone. The Lip Neutralisation results is usually a lighter, pinker lip which looks a lot more even in tone. Full results can take usually from 3 sessions.

This treatment requires advanced techniques and experience. It is a lot more complex and does require more knowledge with colour theory & melanin.

What to expect from Lip Blush…

Immediately after Lip Blush, Lips may appear bright in colour and bigger in size.

As the lips are being repeatedly worked on, the body starts sending lymphatic fluid into the area. This causes swelling. Swelling usually subsides within 48 hours and the swelling will start to go down as soon as treatment is done.

Pigment in the lips will start to darken for the first few days. The lip skin will shed which can cause the lips to be flaky for the first 5-7 days. It’s essential to keep lips moisturised and hydrated during this time.

Day 7 onwards, the visible healing will be done. During this time the under layers of the skin are still healing and pigment will start to resurface once completely healed.
