Some great work tonight from our Friday Little Oaks. We worked on some floor skills - backwards roll preparations, Cartwheels, forwards rolls, strength in our handstand. On bars we worked on our upward circles, casts. Leg lifts, dish and arch shapes for strengthening. On beam, we worked on our basic walking forwards and backwards, jumps, split leaps and our technique for walking backwards. Well done gymnasts! We worked on transferring weight from one foot to the other using spots. All the gymnasts managed this, so we progressed by moving the spots further away and getting the gymnasts to land with their back leg behind them.
