Why has my marble worktop got ring marks?

Marble is a porous natural stone, and even when sealed, liquids can seep into the surface, causing stains or acid etches. Ring marks on a marble worktop are often caused by spills of liquids like wine, juice, or coffee that contain acids, which can etch the marble surface. Another cause of ring marks can be the use of acidic or abrasive cleaning products that can damage the marble's surface. It is essential to clean up spills immediately and use pH-neutral cleaners specifically designed for marble surfaces to prevent the formation of ring marks.
