Hello everyone - Walter’s family have asked me to send this message out to all his dear Romiley friends:

Itinerary for Walter’s Service and Life celebration on Friday 2nd August

1.15 Hearse and Cortege leave Romiley Golf Club - driving through Romiley Village and on to Stockport Crematorium.

2.30 Service at Stockport Crematorium.

3.15 Leave Crematorium and Cortège proceeds to Andrew Arms Compstall for the celebration of Life.

They are closing the Pub from 3.00pm – 6.00pm as a mark of respect .

The family have ordered a variety of food for both Vegetarians and those who require Gluten Free but if you could let me know of any other allergies that would be great.

The family is requesting no flowers but any donations to Pendleside Hospice who cared admirably for Walter during his final days. Link here below:

There will be opportunities to donate on the day at the Crematorium with Cash and at the Andrew Arms with Cash and QR Codes

As you know the service times at the Crem are limited- there will be an opportunity for anyone who wants to say anything to do so at the Andrew as we have arranged a PA system and microphone in the private area at the rear of the pub - as well as his music playlists There will be a book of condolence at the Andrew for people to express their thoughts should they wish.

Just a reminder on dress code: Smart casual- whatever people feel comfortable in but more than a splash of Sky Blue……..

Please let me know if you will be attending on the day and I’ll pass the numbers back to Karen and Michael.
