Update….

We’ve been working on this site since last October and are on 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗞 to deliver 104 new build homes in around 10 months.

We are currently finishing off the final few plots of first fix, with second fix 2 thirds of the way through and live testing and commissioning starting this week.

•
This site has had its challenges but the whole team at Fusion, Matic, and Domis have done an 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗭𝗜𝗡𝗚 job and are delivering some high quality work.

Nothing looks better on an exposed brick wall than some galvanised conduit and metal clad sockets to provide the timeless industrial look.

One of the team has been busy forming some lovely 90 degree bends and installing this nice little piece of conduit into a property in Manchester city centre.

•
Working with galvanised conduit is not easy, and it’s becoming harder to find electricians who can work with it in the correct way, forming the bends and making something industrial look aesthetically pleasing.

The solar panels are finally being installed on the roofs over at 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗜𝗥𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟

These are single string solar arrays, mounted on a rail using roof hooks.

•
We’ve started on the steepest pitched roofs of the 3 storey houses, but don’t worry, the lads are surrounded by high level scaffolding and are wearing safety lanyards to prevent falls.

The weathers not been helping us with this particular installation, but we 𝗣𝗨𝗦𝗛 on!!

L E D • U P G R A D E

One of today’s projects has been the upgrade of old fluorescent lighting to new 𝗟𝗘𝗗 strip lights in a manufacturing warehouse in Wythenshawe.

•
The client is repurposing the space and needed better quality of light, so we overhauled the old fittings and installed new 6ft dual, colour switchable battens to illuminate the area.

•
Phase 𝗧𝗪𝗢 starts tomorrow in another section of the building where we are using a narrow aisle, electric cherry picker to access the fittings without the client having to move too much and minimise disruption.

•
A little piece of information - In the UK, T5, T8 and compact fluorescent lamps will be banned from sale and will no longer be produced as of the 1st Feb this year, so if you have lighting that needs to be upgraded to 𝗟𝗘𝗗, get in touch today for a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 quote!

Not only will it save on energy costs, but maintenance costs too!

B A R N • C O N V E R S I O N

One of our teams have been working on a 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗨𝗟 barn conversion in Hyde for the last year.

•
The customers have converted the old barn into a 𝗚𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗦 modern home while still keeping the look of the barn, with exposed brick on the inside and other features.

•
We are nearing 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 on this project and managed to capture a snap of the new external wall lights on, illuminating the brickwork as the night draws in.

•
We’ll post some more photos of this project tomorrow and next week, so keep a look out for more!

One of our engineers has completed a consumer unit upgrade this week in Stockport.

Nothing beats a neat and tidy board, and you can always tell a 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 electrician when they take pride in fitting one of these units.

Our consumer units are always supplied with up to date 𝗥𝗖𝗕𝗢 protection to all circuits, surge protection as standard, and a fully signed off installation when complete.

Before you consider 𝗨𝗣𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 your consumer unit it’s important to test the full installation to make sure there are no underlying issues and the installation meets certain criteria to enable an electrical certificate to be issued.

We were asked by a nationwide shop fitting company to refurbish an old site for a new decorating centre in Grimsby.

The existing lighting was upgraded to 𝗟𝗘𝗗 throughout, including all new emergency lights. We also added new power outlets to the offices and shop floor, including power poles from the ceiling to the island cashier areas.

New data points were installed throughout and a new supply for air con units.

Once we were complete we provided all the relevant certificates and handed the project over 2 days 𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗 of schedule with a happy client and a newly refurbished unit ready for continued use as a decorating centre!! 💥
