If anyone’s boiler suddenly stops working, then this is why. Check your condensate pipe. It may be frozen. If that’s the case, get some kettled water and pour over the pipe (if the pipe is running outside). That should help unblock the condensate pipe and the boiler should run as normal

This is the effect of not having your Boiler serviced annually. The build up of rust and dirt in the central heating system can seriously damage your boilers performance.

As you are aware the weather has gone cold and we are below freezing temperatures. This means your boilers condensate pipe are most likely to get freezed up. If in any way you have no heating or hot water, it will be due to this. All you have to do is get some kettled water and pour it over the condensate pipe that is running outside. This will help to unblock the pipe.

Bathroom fully completed last week

MagnaClean is a magnetic filter, a component that can be fitted on a boiler's pipework to collect any rust, sludge or debris from the circulating water before it has chance to build up and reduce the efficiency of the heating system.

This was the outcome today when we installed a new boiler and fitted a new magna clean which collected all the rust and debris out of the radiators. As you can see, there is a lot of build of up rust and debris. This is what gives you trouble in the winter months when heating is switched back on. Lack of service and maintenance on the boiler can cause this issue.

Customer was complaining that the old boiler didn’t provide sufficient water pressure in the property, so we dealt with the problem and fitted this Baxi Megaflo system boiler with a 300 litre unvented hot water cylinder!
