Completed Project for a new DAF site in London

At Wedgewood, we do more than just supply steel buildings – we offer comprehensive solutions tailored to your needs.

For this recent project, our installation team enhanced the workspace by removing existing glazing and replacing it with two 5m x 5m three-phase sectional overhead doors. Additionally, we upgraded the loading bays by replacing four shutters with two 5m x 7m three-phase electric sectional overhead doors.

This transformation required extensive steelwork, on-site fabrication, welding, and drilling. We meticulously matched the new cladding with the existing micro-rib and twin skin sheeting and added new flashings for a seamless finish.

A significant amount of planning and effort went into this project for DAF's new site in London, which we designed, engineered, supplied, and installed.

I have been overthinking this post over the last couple of weeks, mainly because i didn't want to come across as using charity work to our benefit. But i want to shed some light on the Children's letters and also the work that is being done at the KINETIC ACADEMY LIMITED

The letters we received from the head and the children have been greatly received and we can honestly say it will be the best gift we receive all year!

We delivered 2x Christmas trees a couple of weeks ago and i had a tour around the KINETIC ACADEMY LIMITED with the Head of School and one of my lifelong friends Thomas Bourne, The work Tom and his team are doing at the school is unbelievable. Tom has made the school a happy and proactive place in which the children can be comfortable, happy and receive the best possible education. Some of the children haven't had the easiest start to life in education and its good to know they can feel safe and thrive within this environment.

We have been so busy as of late, with so much changing and adapting here at Wedgewood Steel Buildings that we have neglected our social media posts! Long overdue post follows!

With the introduction of our new sales manager Steve Richards at the end of august 2023, Wedgewood have taken a huge influx of new work on, making it our best 6-week period to date and we are back to the position we want to be with currently 10 live jobs at present!

Steve has implemented a new CRM system, has networked up and down the country to bridge gaps with other construction companies and potential clients, and has drastically boosted our sales and broadened our reach for more potential work. Aside from that Steve has created a real sales buzz in the office which has boosted morale and energy throughout.

It hasn’t been the smoothest running year to date due to Wedgewood Steel Buildings changing location and facilities to achieve the growth we needed to really establish ourselves as a leading steel building supplier in the UK, and various other elements needed to change to achieve the growth required. But now we have moved, and we now have more room to take on more staff and have plenty of scope in front of us to grow in to!

We cover all nationwide projects and here are some of the jobs and locations we have on the office board at the minute along with plenty of orders pending! It’s now time for a second board in the office as our current board is completely full!

Mono-pitched full build along with cladding in Blyth for a major construction company + Install

🏗️A private client in Watford with a cold rolled building with a cantilever detail to 1 side is now underway +install

🏗️Phase 2 to The Zone Fitness Extension in the Wirral coming soon (repeat client) + install

🏗️A large domestic over-clad in Chepstow, matching in domestic stone, glass, and cedar to our industrial look cladding. +install

🏗️A private client in the Cotswold’s has come on board for his first of at least 3 full steel builds with cladding, p/a doors and industrial roller doors with some intricate hot rolled base detailing. + install

🏗️A private client in Shrewsbury has placed an order this week for a 36m in length full build with cladding and doors included. + install

🏗️A Kennels in Wales built in cold rolled steel with insulated cladding with doors included + Install
