Karate For All (KFA) teaches Shukokai Karate in Stourbridge, Dudley and Birmingham in the West Midlands, UK. The classes are run by Sensei Paul Action and Sensei Phil Whyte and teach all aspects of Karate, from impact work and self defence to kata and competition training. A strong emphasis is also placed on etiquette, respect and confidence building. Check out the main KFA website for up-to-date training venues and times.
We've (finally) added images and info about KFA hoodies and t-shirts to the KFA Store on our website. Hopefully adding a few more bits soon, so watch this space. Placing orders is still done in the dojo though - keeping it exclusive! http://karateforall.co.uk

Remembering Sensei Arthur. Any donations would be gratefully received.
Remembering Arthur Callaghan Help anthony callaghan raise money to support Promise Dreams
It is with great sadness we hear of the awful news regarding Arthur.
We have been blessed to have known such a lovely man, with a big heart and infectious humour.
Karate For All students wish to send their deepest sympathies to his family, during these difficult times. Arthur will be in our hearts forever and we will never forget him.
I remember the days when Sensei Kimura would ask to see his favourite chef whenever he was in the country teaching. Before long Arthur also joined Shukokai Karate under the instruction of Shihan Daniels in the Shukokai Karate Federation, where they enjoyed a great friendship over many years.
The attached picture was typical of Arthurs humour and how he made you feel every time you met with him. I have so many memories from the years we spent together, each one bringing a huge smile, which is how Arthur will always be remembered. What a lovely man.
I am deeply saddened by the loss that Anthony, Julie and Arthur’s family have encountered. We were so lucky to have him in our life and I will miss him.

It was great to see some familiar faces back training last week. What with the current restrictions and back-to-school weariness, it's easy for our karate family to flag a little. We hope to see as many as can make it tonight!
Our very own Sensei Pete is taking part in the 'Distinguished Gentleman's Ride' this Sunday 27th September to support 'Movember' charities and raise funds and awareness for men's prostate cancer and mental health.
Karate is a great form of fitness for your entire lifetime, and studies show that regular sports activities can help reduce the risk of cancer, as well as improving mental health and combating depression.
If you would like to support Sensei Pete and make a donation, big or small, then it would be very much appreciated and would help a great cause.

Just in case you missed it, KFA Stourbridge has been back and training for a few weeks now. Hopefully we will have no more interruptions, but we will let you all know if any future restrictions imposed by the government necessitate further closures.
Thanks you to all KFA Students for your understanding during this current crisis. KFA has now stopped training until further notice. We will update you via this page and our other social media on when training is expected to resume. Until then, please try to stay healthy and fit, and while you are able, please continue to practice your Katas.
Sensei Paul will be posting videos in the KFA Stourbridge WhatsApp group demonstrating katas for you to practice.
Stay safe and have consideration for others that are more vulnerable than yourselves. Together we will return stronger.
It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of an exceptional martial artist, as well as an inspirational teacher to many of us at KFA, Shihan Eddie Daniels. Shihan Daniels died suddenly on Saturday 25th January 2020. Our style of karate can trace a direct line through Shihan Eddie Daniels to the founder of modern Shukokai, Sensei Shigeru Kimura, and with his death comes the loss to karate of an extraordinary amount of knowledge and skill. Our sympathies go to Shihan Daniels' family and friends at this very sad time.
Happy new year to all our KFA students!
Merry Christmas to all of our amazing family of KFA students.
Don't forget, there is no training at KFA Stourbridge on Thursday 12th December due to the General election. Instead, those that want to, can join us for a club meal at Ruby Cantonese Restaurant in Amblecote. Table booked for 6.30pm. See you there!

If tonight is your first night training after last Thursdays grading, don't forget to pick up your new stamp cards to record your sessions towards your next grading.
Congratulations to all our KFA Stourbridge students that successfully passed their grading last night. See you on Tuesday to continue your training journey. Don't forget to get a new stamp card at your first training session after grading.
It's time to get serious now. With the KFA Stourbridge Grading on the 21st Nov, we want to see 100% from those due to move up a belt! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Training tonight starts at 7pm - see you there 😁
Yes, we know our younger students have just gone back to school after the half-term holidays. Your school days seen so long and you're feeling tired but now's the time to train. KFA Stourbridge will be training as usual tonight, 7.00pm-8.30pm. Your next grading will be here before you know it and practice makes perfect!
If our younger students want to train in (loose fitting) spooky costumes on Halloween, please feel free. We'd love to see your scary outfits!
It's Halloween! That means scary costumes and lots of sweets. We hope our younger students can get their trick-or-treating in early today (we'd suggest 5.30pm onwards) and then come to training as usual afterwards. Sensei Paul likes sweets... just saying.
Another scorcher tonight! Please hydrate before coming to training a bring plenty to drink with you.
With the temperature set to be high at training tonight, students are free to wear plain white t-shirts instead of gi tops, and don't forget plenty of fluids to keep hydrated!
The Crystal Leisure Centre is being used as a polling station on Thursday May 2nd so there is no training that night for KFA Stourbridge students.
Happy new year to all KFA students. Let's really kick it in 2019!
Don't forget, as the hot weather continues, you are free to wear a plain white t-shirt instead of your gi top when training, and bring your water bottles for much needed re-hydration!
Check out this classic tournament bout between two world class fighters. Not only do they impress the crowd with their speed and technique, but also demonstrate their sense of deep etiquette and respect for the judges and each other.

If you want to improve your leg flexibility for karate kicks, don't wait to do stretching in the dojo! The stretching we do before the start of a lesson is just to warm up the muscles and soft tissue so that we don't pull a muscle whilst training at the club. Real stretching gains should be sought outside of the club, and it's not actually too much of a commitment to achieve them. How often should you stretch? How far should you push? Take a look at this film and the film makers channel - it's not as much as you might think.
