As we head into 2024 I wanted to write a post about booking your Makeup Artist & Hair stylist

We know there's always something to think about and lots of things to assess when it comes to booking your glam team for the big day

Here's a few pointers ...

💥Cheap doesn't mean better
💥A friend is doing it for me ...

Let's talk about the first one..
When someone is very cheap ask yourself what kind of service will you be receiving for this ! Do they have a website ? How long have they been doing it ? Do they have recent reviews? What products do they use ?
ARE THEY INSURED ?

Let's talk about the second one...
Is it fair to put a friend under that much pressure on the big day ? are they doing it because they can't say no ?
Do they know what to do if someone has a reaction ? Will they be doing a Client Declaration form before application ?
Do they know about hygiene ?
Will they be able to do it in the time frame ?
ARE THEY INSURED ?

All perfectly relevant and fair questions ..

So why INSURANCE is so important

1. Alot of venues since covid will not allow any outside suppliers there with no Insurance

2. More often than not the price of what you pay reflects the service , experience , expertise and Insurance but the fact that a reputable company who are being let loose on your face have Insurance
