With the temperatures getting warm this week if your working outside make sure you have:

• Plenty to drink
• Keep re- applying SPF
• Wear a hat and sunglasses
• Take breaks in the shade

And if your the customer please look after your exterior workers!! Offer drinks or a shaded area for a break. The weather is lovely but working in the heat is very difficult 🌞

"I've cleaned the inside of my windows then the sun comes out and they are all streaky and smeared" is a common quote from a customer. Their process?? Spray window cleaning solution onto the glass then wipe with a cloth ❌❌❌
This does not clean the glass. By doing this you are spraying cleaning chemicals onto dirt and rubbing them together on the glass. The best process is to remove the dirt from the glass using hot soapy water and a squeegee. A soapy solution acts as a lubricant and breaks up the dirt, then the squeegee is used to draw the now water-borne dirt off the glass leaving a clean surface 👍🏻👍🏻

Jason Knight, 34, from Westbury, Wiltshire, thought he was going to die after his window cleaning pole came into contact with an overhead power line giving him a 33,000 volt electric shock. The powerful shock narrowly missed his heart and sent him flying seven feet across a lawn in April leaving scorched footprints in the grass.

The self-employed window cleaner was airlifted to Southmead Hospital where doctors performed 17 surgeries in an effort to save him, but they were forced to amputate his left arm and five of his toes that were severely burned.

Jason, who lives with his wife Sara, 35, and their 18-month-old identical twin girls and seven-year-old daughter, remains in hospital where he faces months of recovery and has been told he may never be able to walk again.

• May 10th 2007 was the beginning of the journey! I registered as self employed and a very nervous 23 year old me started off in the world of exterior cleaning.

It has been confirmed today that anyone that says 'you've missed abit' to someone in the cleaning profession will be fined or even prosecuted. Campaigners have worked tirelessly to get this approved and finally after today cleaning professionals can work without the fear of getting stopped to be told the one liner.

Nothing!! No additives or chemicals are added to the water.
Purified water is made using regular mains water which is forced through a series of filters; the first is a paper filter to remove any sediment, the second is a carbon block filter to remove any chlorine and on the final stage the water passes through a vessel of high grade resin which 'polishes' the water.
