- A one month residency in Taiwan
- getting my work featured in many magazines including Ceramic Review , but the surprise of seeing my work on the front cover of Ceramics Monthly was too exciting!
- Not to mention all of the lovely humans I’ve met along the way 💙
The Lowlight was undoubtedly the pandemic ❌ we wont dwell on that, but we got through it eventually🙌🏻
It’s an emotional rollercoaster running a creative business. I’ve always said there are moments you feel like a genius (very fleeting moments 😅) and moments you feel like you haven’t got a bloody clue what you’re doing… but there’s absolutely nothing I’d rather do than spend my days making pots!

30 August 2024 Suites 2&4 Atherstone Barns
Barclays convened a round table for key stakeholders (developers and landowners) to discuss the issues involved in the developing market of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). Emma Holman-West was key to these discussions, having launched one of the first privately owned BNG sites in the UK, four years before BNG became mandatory. Bringing developers and landowners together to share their own challenges is crucuial to its success.
Barclays invited Emma to take part in a case study that might be useful to other landowners that are considering entering land into a BNG contract.

Atherstone Barns are ideally located just off the main A3400 between Stratford upon Avon and Alderminster. This is a countryside location with space and views, yet just a couple of miles from Stratford upon Avon, allowing easy access and car parking without the need to negotiate town centre parking. Suite 4 is a first floor spacious office, within a converted barn, with divided space for privacy, space for fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, and with a communial break out space/reception on the ground floor along with loos and kitchen facilties. Outside offers access to walks, car parking and the use of the adjoining picnic area.

On Thursday 27th June we set out to deliver a successful business networking event to achieve the primary goal of fostering connections among local people in business.
Hosted by Alscot and carefully arranged together with Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Huband Warwickshire Growth Hub, the event offered a platform for those attending to seek advice, network and make connections in the beautiful surroundings of Alscot Park.
Estate Owner, Emma Holman-West was on hand along with the Estate’s Property Manager, Alice Cotton, to discuss opportunities at Alscot. Representatives from the Growth Hub, including Deputy CEO, Philip Peak and Account Manager, Nina Bale offered information on a multitude of resources that are available to local businesses.
Stratford Business Growth Event was supported by members of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, including Cllr. Susan Juned, Leader of the Council and George Cowcher, Deputy Leader.
We all know what a successful event feels like and thanks to all involved we are confident that this one left attendees feeling that their time was well spent, with valuable new contacts and insights gained.
