It’s a wrap! 🎄🎄🎄

In just 4 working days we have welcomed parents/carers of 130 children to choose the gifts they know their child will be thrilled to see on Christmas Day. It has been an absolute pleasure to meet the families.

Final bits being collected by a referrer tomorrow for the final few families. Shop all packed away and a huge pat on the back for our fantastic team at Little Green Sock Project who totally pulled this Christmas project out of the bag with very little time/planning and in difficult circumstances.

Huge thank you to all of our supporters and volunteers who have purchased items from our wishlist. We were honestly blown away with the support. You have made such a difference to the families we have supported who have been given choice this Christmas.

Also special thanks to Calm Connections CIC for being our hosts for the event, all of our referral partners for identifying the families that needed our support, TBT Women's Fitness Urmston for taking in the huge amount of Amazon Wishlist donations, Dunelm Trafford | Community Print Search Support St Monica’s School, Urmston Partnership Manchester Airport staff, Kier Construction, Beatties Bakery, Forest Preparatory School, Play Maker Events Uplift for the toy, reverse advent calendar and toy collections and fundraising events held on our behalf.

Our team are going to have a well earned rest over the Christmas period and will be refreshed ready to get started again in the new year. Any messages will be responded to in January.

The Urmston Partnership & Indie Urmston bring you the annual Christmas Lights switch on event bigger and better than ever before! DJ & Compere John Locke will be playing all the Christmas Hits. Live performances of traditional Xmas Carols by Flixton Band & Childrens Choir plus the all new Elf Trail and winter games. This year also sees the return of the Mini-Market with stalls selling Bratwurst, Hot Drinks, Sweet Treats, Bar selling beers, mulled wine & soft drinks and, last but not least, no lights switch-on would be complete without visit from the big man himself, Santa Claus!

Last years event was such an amazing success, so put the date in your diaries, get down early and enjoy the start of the M41 festivities!

I loved having creative freedom on this cake, it was a lovely cake to make.

It's a vanilla bean sponge with homemade raspberry & strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream. A classic but delicious!
