Zak bear is so chilled, gentle and just the best cuddle monster ๐ป๐พ๐
His second massage session tonight and so many improvements already ๐ฅฐ
Ending my day with the gentleman that is Bowie ๐ฉต helping to put a spring back into his stride.
His maintenance massages help ease his aging body, releasing areas of tightness and removing waste, giving the muscles fresh oxygen and nutrients to keep them in good condition. Endorphins are also released which will make him feel just lovely ๐ฅฐ
Lots of Easter treats contain dried fruit, but if you are tucking into Hot Cross Buns or Simnel cake this year, be sure to keep them away from your dog!
Raisins, or anything that contains grape skins (including fresh grapes, sultanas or currants) are poisonous to dogs. They cause kidney failure, which sadly can be fatal. The effects of eating raisins are hard to predict - some dogs will eat a lot of raisins and be fine, whilst others can become sick after eating just two or three.
Kidney failure is very hard to treat, so we recommend being cautious. If you think your dog may have eaten any raisin-containing food, call the practice immediately for advice!
Just a few spaces left!!!
If you live near Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds or Sudbury there are still a couple of places available so donโt miss out on this lovely workshop that will create a deeper bond between you and your dog.
By the end of the day you will also have learnt about ways to spot subtle signs of muscular dysfunction in your dog, more about their skeletal and muscular systems and a full 40 min Swedish massage routine.
You definitely wonโt be disappointed. It was actually this workshop that inspired me to begin training as a Clinical Canine Massage Therapist with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre ๐

Our attendees from last year told us how much it:
* propelled their relationship with their dog to next level
awareness
* provided them with a range of new skills & techniques they
could use with their own dog
* was a magical experience like nothing they had ever
experienced
* gave them a special time to create memories, relax and
recuperate with their dog
* opened their eyes to connect with their dogs on a much deeper
and meaningful level through the world of energy and the
quantum field of potentials.
We can't wait to see you there!
So in love with you ๐
I actually think I needed you more than you needed me yesterday ๐ฅฐ๐พ what a lovely session we had, just some tight fascia but you trust me to sort this for you ๐ซถ oh and lots of cuddles of course ๐

Agility boy Luka ๐
Normally full of beans, Luka loves to take time out in his massage sessions and is asleep and snoring within seconds ๐ด๐ค time to rest and recover.
We found some myofascial pain today but soon released the fascia allowing freedom for full natural movement ๐พ

* The 5 Principles of Pain was developed by our founder a few
years ago to help dog owners recognise clinical and sub-
clinical signs of pain that can be managed or resolved with the
Lenton Methodยฎ of canine massage therapy.
* It consists of 5 categories that breakdown indicators that
canine massage may be a viable therapy for your dog.
* The 5 Principles of Pain can also be used to track the
outcomes, or improvements in your dog, that you see from our
therapy too
* Our method tends to work pretty quickly, usually within 1-3
sessions according to the research by Wi******er University as
published in the Vet Record by the British Veterinary
Association. And if there's no change, we don't continue to
treat. Your dog is our No. 1 priority.

The weekend involved a sea of Ginger ๐ซ
These beauties are all gearing up for Crufts in a couple of weeks time. They are lucky enough to enjoy a multimodal approach to therapy with massage and hydrotherapy ๐ฆ
The shear pleasure on Florence's face as she stretches out after her session is an absolute delight ๐๐พ
๐
Please can we have a little more of that massage business? ๐
Gorgeous Bowie really enjoys his massage sessions and with each one we adapt to what his requirements are ๐ฅฐ
Hearing that he took a stick to his pawrent the following day wanting to play is so heartwarming and encouraging for us all ๐พ
Jack the lad ๐พ enjoyed a massage this week and was feeling good ๐
This little guy is on the Vet before it's unfolded and knows exactly what's in store for him ๐ ๐
His sessions make sure he maintains optimal muscular function, keeping him in a tip top physical condition.
And for me his sessions mean I get some Jack cuddles,
so its a win around ๐ฅฐ

Due early March ๐
New kid on the block ๐พ
This ball of fur hasn't been blessed with the best hips and at just 5 years old he is starting to slow down, feeling the stiffness is his hind quarters and overcompensating through his spinal muscles too.
BUT... he is starting massage treatment to help all this and hopefully we'll have him feeling less discomfort, able to move more freely and get those muscles eased out for him.
๐พ๐
๐จ Slippery floors ๐จ
Did you know they can be causing your dog harm?
They can cause soft tissue injuries.
Impact joint stability.
Cause back injuries as the body tries to stabilise through the spine.
Add stress to already compromised joints with conditions such as arthritis, hip and elbow dysplasia.
Cause anxiety as they struggle to modulate their grip and slide out of control.
Just by placing runners, rugs or odd pieces of carpet over these floor surfaces can be so beneficial to dogs.
No photos please ๐
This chap has a character larger than life and it's such a pleasure that I get to work with him.
He is the best companion to his hooman and they both love a good long walk, massage keeps Tommy in tip top condition for all his adventures ๐พ
Luka is doing so well with his massage, his owner has reported improvements already which is always lovely to hear ๐
