This is it, the final week of getting Aqua Paws Wellness Centre ready for opening!🎉 Me and CEO Scooby sat in the sun while we waited for the workmen from Westcoast hydrotherapy to arrive on Monday morning. I told him all about what was happening this week, and that soon he will be able to share his pool and treadmill with lots of other wonderful dogs and even cats!❤️ Since Monday the underwater treadmill has arrived, the pool has been filled and the ramp is almost finished! 🤩🐾💙🧡

Does anyone want to guess how long it took to fill the pool? 🤔

We have been non stop at the centre over the past few weeks! My dad has been amazing with the installation of the showers and putting up the walls and doors to separate the two treatment rooms! There’s been some big changes here at the centre this week! My dad has been working super hard getting the walls up, whilst myself, Marcus and my good friend Katie have been painting! We had an exciting arrival from West Coast Hydrotherapy this morning… the pool arrived!! 🩵 They return on the 16th of September to 20th to finish installation and deliver the Underwater Treadmill! We can’t wait to open soon!🧡💙

HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY SCOOBY🥳
Wishing our CEO Scooby a very happy 9th birthday! Scoobys favourite things are eating, taking his mum to pets at home to buy him things to eat, rolling in stinky stuff 💩 and sleeping 😴! Today is all about him (just like everyday really!) We love you Scooby, so very much❤️

Work at Aqua Paws Wellness Centre took a bit of a break while we enjoyed our summer holiday ☀️ but now we are straight back to it getting jobs done ready for the arrival of the pool and underwater treadmill on the 20th August! 🤩🐾💙🧡

🌟Hydrotherapy plays an important part in rehabilitation. There are many conditions hydrotherapy helps to treat and manage. One of the most common injuries I see is the Cranial Cruciate Ligament known as the CCL.

🌟 We have been working super hard at Aqua Paws Wellness Centre… check out the progress we've made since last month! 🛠️

A big thank you to my dad for making this all possible. Not only is he working his usual carpentry job, but he's also been coming to the centre to help get things up and running. He's teaching me some new skills along the way too! 🙌

Shoutout to my boyfriend Marcus for helping out in between his work as well. It's been a real team effort! 🧡💙

🌟 **Qualifications** 🌟

Since Scooby became a part of my life, I have become dog-obsessed. After working in rescue, I found a keen interest in dogs with behavior issues and decided to study canine behavior with the ISCP. In 2020, I qualified as a Canine Practitioner with distinction.

After leaving rescue work, my hydrotherapy career began, and I completed my Level 3 in Small Animal Hydrotherapy. Early last year, I finished my qualification as a Level 4 Hydrotherapist. Recently, I completed one of CAM's courses in Canine Arthritis to expand my knowledge.

Every year, I continue to learn more in different areas of small animal hydrotherapy and canine behavior to help improve the lives of those I treat, as well as educating their owners. 🤓🐶🐾📝

Meet Scooby, my best friend and the inspiration behind my hydrotherapy center. In 2020, Scooby was diagnosed with bilateral cruciate disease and ruptured his right hind cranial cruciate ligament (CCL). After TTA surgery to stabilize his knee, he recovered well but then ruptured his left hind CCL just three months later, leading to another TTA surgery and later, the removal of most of his left hind meniscus.

Hydrotherapy has been a game-changer for Scooby. It helped him keep weight off during recovery, maintain his fitness when exercise was limited, build and preserve muscle mass, and restore joint range of motion after three invasive surgeries. Now battling secondary osteoarthritis, hydrotherapy continues to slow the progression of the disease, ensuring Scooby stays as fit and active as possible.

Scooby’s journey has shown me the incredible benefits of hydrotherapy and inspired me to help other dogs in need. Thank you, Scooby, for teaching me so much and fueling my passion for this therapy. 🧡🤎🥰

Aqua Paws Wellness Centre is coming to Sudbury Suffolk September 2024!! We are a small animal hydrotherapy centre equipped with both an underwater treadmill and hydrotherapy pool. Hydrotherapy is an excellent form of exercise, it helps to improve cardiovascular fitness, helps animals recover from orthopaedic and neurological conditions and helps to manage osteoarthritis. I am so excited to open and start treating your lovely pets! 🐾🐱🐶🩵🧡
